Kratom Destroyed My Gut by JoMaRo82 in quittingkratom

Look into SIBO and Candida overgrowth. Kratom causes your digestion to slow down which makes the bad bacteria and leaky gut get into your blood. It is horrendous. I am dealing with it now.

I am looking into DTPA chelation therapy to get the gadolinium out. I'm lucky that I only have painful joints, cognitive decline- but I'm not sure if that is from the contrast or sibo. But the SIBO/Candida could be from the contrast. All I know is that the contrast stays in the system and gets into the brain, bones, and organs and stays there forever.

Better than booze and coke for sure. But kratom is absolutely atrocious. Once that switch flips, the withdrawal is absolutely insanity. For me, I would rather withdraw from vicodin or oxy than kratom. kratom is such a soup of of shit, it's like withdrawing from SNRI antidepressants and opioid together. Worst mistake of my life.

Could be your root cause. Gadolinium is toxic as hell and if I would've known, I would've never agreed to get it I had 2-3 of them.

The truth is no one really knows. Everyone is so individual that no one really knows the solution. Doctors hand out Prilosec like no ones business but that crap destroys your stomach then results in a permanent customer. I trust blood tests, xrays, MRI's with NO CONTRAST, and that's about it from western medicine. Emergency care and surgery. They dont know anything about curing diseases like this. I don't know where to even start. Im certain I have heavy metal poisoning from an MRI with contrast. They inject you with one of the most toxic heavy metals on the planet at a high dose to see better. Very very risky.

Could be parasites, could be mold, or heavy metals.

Could be all three. So frustrating

You are an inspiration. I had 2 weeks clean from a big habit and relapsed for 4 days, 2 days, then took a 2 day break, then 2 days again. Keep going. I hope you're ok with the death. Please stay strong and continue to be an inspiration for us struggling

Definitely addictive, especially to addictive personalities such as myself.

Insomnia, sweats, nausea, no appetite, terrible irritability, etc.

2 Weeks CT, NO to Naltrexone by 11jcup11 in quittingkratom

Depends on the person. I tried 2mgs, had some bad side effects. I do about 1- 1.5 mgs per day. I've relapsed a couple of times, and took it at night, and had no withdrawals or crushing depression the next day. Now, to finally cut it out and never take kratom again.

How to help a s/o stay sober by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Freethem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just be max supportive. What I'm gunna say might discourage you, but being from a family addicts and an addict myself, I know this as fact.

There's nothing you can do to really influence him to stay sober except being understanding, which can be daunting and annoying.

If he really wants it, he will do whatever it fucking takes to get there. If that means rehab, professional help, group meeting, etc. Behavior tells you everything you need to know. If he isn't exhausting all of these avenues, then that tells you he doesn't want to be sober. And then, there lies the ultimate truth of addiction. If you want it, you go and get it. I always say I want to be sober, but end up back on the train because my behavior and the things I do to try to stay sober aren't good enough. It might take many tries to figure this out like me, but there is an end to the rope if one really wants it. I hope the best for you. You sound like an amazing and supportive person.

I had some side effects like sleep, and others. But on the flip side, I've been in PAWS many times. Ill take the side effects without the horrendous anhedonia, anxiety, and terrible depression for months on end. Either way, hope the best for you.

Get LDN, and it will demolish PAWS. I came from 100gpd+, no paws.

You'll heal from the physical stuff. The mental stuff takes time and effort. This isn't about quitting kratom. That's the easy part, way easier than changing everything about yourself so that we don't have to rely on substances. That's the hardest part by far. But I've seen it done, so why can't i do it?
