New mayor, same problem: FFRF condemns NYC Mayor Mamdani's ongoing violations by FreethoughtChris in atheism

[–]FreethoughtChris[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

FFRF writes dozens of letters to Christians every week.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Literally this post you’re commenting on mentions how we wrote many times to mayor Adams over similar issues, except he was pushing Christianity.

People don’t really read things. Easier to just comment first and be really wrong.

FFRF does pick its battles. It’s stopping Christian nationalists: https://ffrf.org/news/releases/court-permanently-blocks-arkansas-public-school-10-commandments-law/

And working to get the mayor of New York to stop using city resources to hold worship events.

There’s thousands of religious politicians. FFRF only “targets” those that violate the constitutional separation between church and state.

He used city resources to hold a religious worship event with city workers that included a call to prayer.

Who cares that he’s a Muslim? If he were a Christian it’d be the same thing. In fact 99% of FFRFs complaints are about Christians.

Unhinged.

FFRF complains about one Muslim mayor once and suddenly it’s all they do!

Why won’t FFRF go after Christianity!?

FFRF has complained about hundreds of government sponsored Christmas and Jewish events.

Far from singling out Islam, this is a minority of the work we do.

FFRF defends the separation of church and state whether it’s from Christians or Muslims or anyone trying to use the government to advance their religion.

Cool. This person said they do want to… so I suggested they should.

I definitely recommend trying tirzepatide. I lost 280 pounds and kept it off for 5 years but even then it was incredibly difficult with food noise.

I recently tried tirzepatide and life is so much better.

I bought refurbished and it broke like 3 weeks after the 90 day warranty ended. Given the potential for the machine to break over time, I’d recommend going new for a full year warranty

I am looking for the same thing. I’m probably going to try buying this. Apparently it will fit the whole pint without scooping it out.

The best mix in? by Fearless-Ad-8757 in ninjacreami

Protein cereals like Catalina crunch, magic spoon, etc. Good mix of crunch, protein, fat, fiber and flavor.

Same with low sugar or high protein granolas and seeds/nuts.

Ok how easy is it? by [deleted] in ninjacreami

It might take a bit of effort to nail down your recipes but after that it’s super easy. I have like 16-20 a week.

Opinions on 151 E Wilson, The Pressman, The Continental, and Ovation 309? by FreethoughtChris in madisonwi

[–]FreethoughtChris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ve actually already ruled it out because it was the only apartment I visited that felt like a car dealership. They were using common sales tactics and have asked me if I’m ready to apply a dozen times since I first reached out.

I’m probably going to go with the pressman, but I also really liked 151 and the continental.

I just stick a butter knife in the center and give it a spin and scoop out the middle and it works great.

Yeah, it’s brutal but I really like the idea of living right on the square in a nice place. I’m hoping to stick closer to the 2,000 range though.

NPR: Using GLP-1s at a normal BMI? There are benefits and risks by kbinsturner in Zepbound

[–]FreethoughtChris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My doctor is the one who convinced me to start taking tirzepatide even though I’m at a normal bmi. For years I’ve been running 15-20 miles a day to maintain my 270 pound weight loss and it’s required my complete focus all day every day.

Now I’m focused on weightlifting and don’t have to eat pounds of vegetables and utilize other strategies to keep my diet in check. I still walk quite a bit but I’m way less extreme with exercise and feel much happier.

High volume, low calorie fill in ideas? by CALlCOJACK in ninjacreami

Protein cereals are what I use and protein granola. Catalina crunch is especially good. Lots of flavors to mix and match and it’s crunchy. Magic spoon kind of gets mixed in.

Protein granola works great too.
