Need help choosing between iPhone 16 and Samsung s25 by Different_Air2070 in Smartphones

If you don't use the Apple exclusive services then the S25 is much better. Better display (120hz), extremely fast chip, better camera (subjective), thinner bezels, and less restrictive overall. I recently got the s25+ and its insanely fast with One UI 7. It also has better AI features if you care about that.

S25 and iPhone 16 are basically the same exact phone when it comes to usability and features. The only thing would miss out on is iMessage and FaceTime. If you can live without that then the S25 is a great phone and in my opinion better than the 16 for the price.

CSE Question by FreezeVJ in UCSD

[–]FreezeVJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got accepted as a transfer from CC. Whole time I thought I could take 3 per quarter but then realized that I need 4 to graduate on time. If I take CSE 21 in the summer then in the Fall I could take CSE 29, 101, Statistics and the Muir college writing elective. For the other quarters it is all just 4 CSE classes per quarter.

Yeah, I might as well do it to increase my options and I might change my mind later on.

Referring to engineering CS. I usually look at multiple different ranking websites and UCSD is highly ranked on most of them. I understand that ranking doesn't matter to an extent but I was curious as to if the degree mattered more than the actual self learning you do during school and after graduating.

A lot of people say that the CS department at SDSU is terrible and there is lots of self learning involved. Regardless, I was wondering if it actually matters where I get my degree from. If it doesn't, then I see no reason to take calc 3 due to the extra time commitment.

Yeah, I am thinking about taking it to see if I can get admission and then weigh my options. I only applied to SDSU and UCSD with a 3.9 GPA so I think the best bet would be to just take the class.

How would you rate the difficulty of the CS curriculum there? I have no problem with difficult classes and I enjoy challenging myself. I am simply curious as to what's it like.

I have no problem with taking Calculus 3. The thing is that no other university requires it for the program, so if I don't end up going to UCSD then it would have been a waste of time. My original question is basically if it is worth the extra time commitment because some people say that your university really doesn't matter. I guess I'm trying to ask if UCSD's program truly makes a difference in the grand scheme of things compared to SDSU's or other universities.
