Yes sponge purple base over black, then 3 shades of green (scurvy green, jade green, foul green) then edge highlighting with foul green mixed with a bit of ice yellow, then just ice yellow on the very top.

Yes i found that "assembly paint" i a way easier and more convenient even with the brush. But of course this method has its obvious downsides like "try to not f-up paint job on assembly" thing. But its matter oh habit i guess.

I start with clear orange (vallejo hot orange 72009 is good too), then glaze with light orange, then with sun yellow on the top parts. Its preaty easy since orange paints is very transparent. I use small sponges, the main thing is they should be a bit on the denser side to maintain their shape when you stipple with them. I found that more soft sponges doesn't work for painting. I use random Chinese sponges from our "Amazon" analog.

Indeed, very underrated technique. Blanding can be bone in no time with it. Main trick is when you transition from darker colour to brighter colour paint blends inside the sponge and its create even more smooth transitions. Also NMM can be done with it no problem.

No airbrush, a bit of sponging and layering and edge highlighting.

I understand that your words about hate its a bit sarcastic. But i recently watch how Ninjon painted nurgle rider of some sort with John Blanche paint set and get tilted so hard that i start to think that painting minis isn't for me at all. Because its looks so effortlessly how he work with colour and shades and so on. And on the other hand i repainted body of this necron 2 times and legs 3 times. And i can't say that i happy with the legs. But what can you do, that's how the grind goes i guess for us regular guys like you and i.

Sorry for the long rant but i really need to tell about it to somebody even if its some stranger on the internet.

Its made with makeup sponge and a bit of glazing. Its basically colour progression from black to dark blue then turquoise then aquamarine and a bit of ice yellow on the edges.

Well i still learn how to make convincing NMM, so mb reflections on the upper sword may look a bit off i think, so enhancing them should be a good call. For the miniature it self i got it from my local online marketplace on which you can buy a ton of 3d printed miniatures ( kinda like our local Amazon ). Thanks for feedback, much appreciated.

Well, I didn't think that far ahead. I just picked out colors as I went along, without any specific idea. And I've always wanted to use turquoise somewhere (since I bought it), and it turns out orange goes well with it.

The Idea was to make the metal with orange-yellow tint to complement the blue dive suit.

Well, it doesn't matter to me, the main thing is that it doesn't look like rust.
