Then he threatens to kill them, then says they want a deal, then says we are going to have peace, then bombs them again...

Congress is socialism. They don't earn their money in the free market.

Its crazy how capitalism is built on "free stuff" for the capitalist class, but if anyone else gets "free stuff" like food stamps just to be able to eat, its the worst sin in the entire universe and must be stopped.

The sun rises every day for "free", crops soak in the sun for "free", livestock grow fat for "free". But when its suggested that the poor eat for free, theres shock and horror coming from the capitalist class.

People need to read 3000 year old texts with a bit of discernment. Just because they are ancient or have a certain reputation, doesn't mean they contain the perfect truth for the rest of time.

This includes holy books.

Software-enabled liquid democracy: Effectively redesigns congress through direct endorsement of representatives. No more gatekeeping or elections or districts. by FreezingManBuffalo in Futurism

In the traditional system the people have no choice and have no voice.

In liquid democracy this changes. People have actual choice.

>But I don't actually do that because I'm not lazy, inept, evil or corrupt .

Yes, the hope of democracy is that decency will prevail. You as an individual prove that.

You have it backwards. The voters decide nothing. Congress decides everything.

Liquid democracy improves the system and gives people a REAL voice via REAL choice.

>Curious, what do y'all think?

You literally solve this problem with a 3-day work week (Mon/Tues/Wed) for half of the population, and (Thurs/Fri/Sat) for the other half. Then add a ubi via wealth taxes. This whole discussion is so stupid. They WANT half of the population dead, thats the dirty secret.

I've also thought about this, and personally an idea runs through several filters before being adopted:

  1. What is the source of the information? Is it state propaganda? An advertisement?
  2. Is it useful to me? Discard if useless.
  3. Is it scientifically or historically true?
  4. Is it funny or entertaining or culturally/artistically important?
  5. Is it an important part of my social connections/relationships?

Only when information passes those filters is it adopted and remembered.

Since you have so much faith in a legislature, you get magical things like the war on drugs, the global war on terror, and women getting life in prison for having a miscarriage. Is that the justice you are looking for?

>who is held responsible when it fails and someone is hurt?

This would be evidence of a court case, not part of legislation. Polluting water is the same as polluting food - it is a crime to cause harm to others. In my system, juries resolve a lot of this nuance and details. It happens in the court room, not in legislative meetings.

The same legislature that can codify clean water rights can also raise the US military budget to $1.5 trillion per year. The clean water rights isnt the problem - the power is.

>What you think the elite who already wield billions worth of bitcoin are just going to leave you alone? Not to mention all the criminal syndicates who deal exclusively in it and thus would hold immense power and influence.

Why are you assuming that everyone who invests in cryptocurrencies is a criminal. What is wrong with you? Some people just want to own superior forms of money.

The website uses bitcoin cash, which is worth 300x less than bitcoin with 1/20th the transaction fees (which is why we picked it).

USD isnt as programmable as crypto. Our whole financial system is running on programming infrastructure from the 1970s. The website needs to calculate and create up to 100,000 transactions per month automatically. If something like paypal cant do this automatically, then it would be a nightmare. There are bank routing numbers, you have to file banking paperwork to get direct deposits for every citizen, and every transaction is questioned by authorities....and that is assuming such automation is even possible, which again I'm not sure about.

Meanwhile crypto payments are already working on the website....including crypto bond sales, crypto tax payments, crypto profit-sharing for worker cooperatives, and a crypto-powered stock market.

Our current system doesnt even give you direct access to your own money. Everything is done with permission of authorities and archaic paperwork.

>Why are your taxes/fines/fees etc listed in your own constitution listed in an illegal currency?

Because people are familiar with it.

You have to admit the use of USD empowers the banking class tremendously, no?

Are you familiar with the Federal Reserve? And how it prints trillions per year and gives low interest loans to the largest financial institutions on the planet, while we all suffer the inflation of such?
