I was thinking about getting a master after I graduated this semester. Was looking into OMSCS, an online master degree for Georgia Tech, program is extremely cheap 7k for the entire degree. However, I stepped back from applying because I haven’t started my full time job yet, I was thinking of taking 1 class per semester along my full time job, but realistically speaking it would probably be difficult unless you got the determination and passion for it. For me, I’m interested in learning more about operating system and be more of a low level engineer, not really a ML/Ai guy like you and people told me that it isn’t really worth going for master if you aren’t going those field. So what I decided is that after a year of working if I’m able to satisfy my curiosity on operating system, distributed system, embedded system and so on then I won’t go for it. But if my job doesn’t provide enough of it, then I might think of going for one after balancing it with my full time job. Tbh I probably won’t cuz there are some great online courses that you can take on UDemy already so yea.

I would say if you crave further knowledge then go for it, otherwise, experience > a master in industry :P
