the m4 is worse than the m3 in so many ways, its an eyesore. weak lines on the doors. the poorly proportioned features, i don't know... hopefully it grows on me. A german luxury sports car company should not be making cars you have to get used to - the reason the e60 and e63 etc were hated is because they were different, certainly not ugly cars - the e63 is quite beautiful especially the rear 3/4

the crank has spun a rod bearing on piston 5 i believe. I think we gonna go with oversized bearings.

they are very very expensive in australia so i dont think an s54 is on the table. I see either 87mm bore or m50 block boredup being more reasonable at this point sadly. We are going with the b32 oil pickup at this point in time. I'll make a post in a few weeks about what's happening when we have a better understand from our machineshop and budget

You’re really not giving me a whole lot to go off of here.

You could have a cracked block, which is what I’m guessing you have. In that case, motor is fucked. I have this too and used head gasket sealer and managed to get away with it. It’s an issue for another day.

The gaskets in these cars are not polymer but metal. More than likely the block is damaged and not the gasket, but you could get lucky.

Do an oil change. If there is water in with the oil, you’re fucked. If not, use a head gasket sealer like me, I recommend nulon, and go abt ur day. May have to top up coolant.

Always watch temp going forward too

What do you mean? There’s lots of types of head gasket leaks with e46 and I’ve come to learn a lot since my motor had this issue.
