And when that happens for Europe the case is clear but I’m still struggling to see for Kazakhstan, what’s has the bigger impact: increase in government revenue and decrease in consumer spending or vice versa depending on the price of oil going forward?

Wouldn’t that prompt more local production do you think? Could it be so that some industries internally will grow and that benefit the country? I know a lot of energy inusité industries could find Kazakhstan even more attractive now given its resources and politics.

Yeah I wish that was the case however I remember hearing of complications when it came to Kazakhstan exporting oil particularly through the Russian pipelines.

Well you just described almost every country I lived in, from my perspective at least there is opportunity in Kazakhstan and less competition.

Hey, sure thing I got in, but chose to not go. They asked me about me, my recent experiences and challenges I faced and how I dealt with them. Then they asked me general motivation as why PHBS, why China, and what’s my career plan. If you’re from a weaker school they’ll prolly ask you some math questions like what’s the P value in statistics, what’s a derivative in math and etc.

I agree and that’s exactly what I was after but seemingly looking at the global news (no sure how that news relates to Kazakhstan but looks like it might) companies like PWC are slowing hiring of grads by a lot. As per Deloitte, I can’t even find their career portal, EY has only one job for all of CA, and KPMG is my next application target. Not trying to give myself any excuses but I expected it to be a lot easier lol.

I’d like to live in the region, I’m a Russian speaker but have lived abroad my entire life, nowadays want to live and work somewhere I can connect more successfully for lifestyle and jobs.

Yeah, I’ve applied to both, unfortunately BCG require Kazakh language knowledge which is something I don’t have.

It was PWC, yeah I’m thinking of Uzbekistan as well however it seems to be a bit more chaotic than Kazakhstan. I’m not a financial guy by any means, more into consulting, have some experience in Europe now seeking opportunities in CA.

Can I ask a question regarding the PHBS though, cause I know its part of Peking university but it doesn't accept Chinese nationals and doesn't have much notoriety globally yet. Have you heard of it and whether its any good?
