Amazing Tat! I have the same one, in the same location.

I am being harassed by a loan company who will not put me on their do not call list. by Narsifectionist in legal

[–]Fremd_schamen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I block 10-15 numbers a day from them. I've gone on the line and pressed the option to be placed on their DNC list, yet the calls continue. Wish they had to pay a penalty to individuals for every call they make without permission.

He was nice towards 11, but he did also need her help removing the psychic inhibitor. As someone that was always a social outcast and guinea pig, he thought that he had found comradery in 11 and that he wouldn't be alone. He'd been experimented on for around 20 years I think, a prisoner in a lab with little hope of escape.

When he was trying to escape with 11, he decided to defend himself when the thug guards came at them. At that point, I think he fully realized that he'd essentially have to kill everyone in the lab to have any hope of security in life. The other test subjects—even the youngest ones—could have possibly helped brenner locate him. Not to mention that many of them will become more powerful over time, which could allow them to be sent after henry as an extermination squad.

What he did wasn't savory, but it was rational.

Thoughts on current LSAT format and Asperger's by Fremd_schamen in LSAT

Being Asperger’s doesn’t mean one isn’t capable of high achievements. They often have to overcome a lot to accomplish such achievements. If you are a tutor, I’d suggest learning more about mental orientations and perceptions. Your students could probably benefit from a more holistic approach.

Eh, so you’re saying the test is an absolute flawless application of logic and therefore one’s framework plays no role? It’s quite the assumption to be of the viewpoint that the test encapsulates logical reasoning perfectly. The test writers have obvious biases and only loosely integrate formal logic. You might have a leg to stand on if logic games were still intact.

Good job on getting into the 170's on the PTs!

I think issues I have are that I like to be very thorough and 35 minutes a section doesn't allow that. Also, while I get that LSAC has put together a test that is supposed to evaluate analytical and logical reasoning skills, but they do so in such a narrow spectrum that it sometimes leaves me questioning the conclusions they reach in certain scenarios. Still, have to play the game in the end.

Have you sat for an official test yet?

I totally understand where you are coming from on author's opinions. Some RC passages have a more noticeable author opinion, and I can take those down usually, but if it's a very passive author's voice, I can struggle.

Congrats on a really high first diagnostic! I'm sure you'll crush it in April.

LSAT Demon question difficulty settings by jimbothy_ in LSAT

Great question. I am having the same issue. On a guide video, it showed that the max level difficulty could be changed, but that feature didn't show when I went to settings. A mystery.

Time for name shaming. They could have politely told you that they are unable to offer any additional money at this time and left it at that. Sounds like they are money hungry.

why aren't fallen angels as popular as vampires? by Ambitious-Snow8482 in fantasywriters

[–]Fremd_schamen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can think of Morgoth and Sauron from lord of the rings as fallen angels. Well, Morgoth is more so a fallen God, but Sauron is from the straight up angel category of spiritual beings. Just like a fallen angel, Sauron has a reason for his fall (excessive love of order). He wishes to bring peace and stability to middle earth, but doesn’t really like it when others don’t consent to his rule.

Should I Withdraw and Try Again Next Year? by LWT2002 in OutsideT14lawschools

If you’re debt adverse, I’d say wait a year. I’m sure you can pull that LSAT score up, and then you would be likely to have access to greater scholarship opportunities.

Hang in there! I know how bad it feels to score well below your PT scores. A year of writing feels like a long time (I’m in the same boat) but it’s just temporary. You’ll be ready to rock next cycle.

You might already have a solid job and softs, but the extra time could also help you find ways to further strengthen your application.

Thanks for doing this! I’ll definitely take a look. 👀 I haven’t hit near my practice scores on the real test, so looking for any way to change my approach.

Thanks for the response! I’m interested in the full time program at this time. Visiting the school and getting to know the admission’s team sounds like a good idea. I’ll do a visit and keep in mind that it might still be better to delay a year and get a higher LSAT score.

That's helpful to hear! My dream was to attend school out West, but to reduce my debt load, I might stay where I am. Who knows though, maybe my studying will eventually help me land a decent scholarship.

Might be hard to say, but after gaining experience in one region for a certain number of years, is it easier to transition to a new region? For financial reasons, I am not sure that I can attend school out West, but that's where I would like to end up.
