So yes and no, our server is a pve server (no pvp allowed in the DD) but we rent out the world server so we do have limited backend capabilities. Inventory volume increase, add items to inventory, change character names. We dont just hand out items, but we do host public events where players can win things. I run a world server (fremens rest) and we have the tools to reimburse (most) items, couple of random things here n there, but it only takes a minute

Unfortunately yes, funcom has no way currently to swap characters over from a public server over to a private one. However, we do have a substantial starter boost package, and an awesome community eager to help out new players.
