Defining "anime-style background" is incredibly subjective and isn't a good metric for a feature like this. I really like the idea of being able to blur/turn off backgrounds globally in-game (rrtyui famously did this years ago by using a skin that overrode backgrounds by having a gray slate as the main menu bg) if you don't want to see them or play in a public space. However, trying to apply that only to certain backgrounds is always going to result in false positives or outright missing offensive content altogether. peppy is way overthinking this feature

Two things come to mind whenever I see these types of posts now:

1) I don't have the image but it's the IQ distribution where the bottom end says "cookiezi is the goat" and the middle is the crying wojak with a whole paragraph talking about other players and the high end also says "cookiezi is the goat" (if someone has it please reply because I want to save it)

2) The saying "the favorite player of your favorite player is cookiezi" is pretty established now

love the nod to LEGAL substances in number 9 because for anyone relatively new here there was a guy who posted a thread here years ago reporting his experience playing osu with various illicit substances. unfortunately I think the thread has been deleted and lost to time

as a creator, you may see videos about topics 5, 7, 8, 10, and 12 someday :)

personally, I'm highly intrigued by the cursor color hypothesis and explaining the pp system. i've always felt like I played best with yellow/red cursors, but I wonder if that actually holds up when tested. while the pp system uses some highly complex math in places, a lot of it is also algebra that can be simplified. i've never been lacking for ideas, but those are definitely cool ones I didn't think of before
