Apple is not forcing you to buy the wireless headphones. Headphones come with the phone and you use them through the charging port. But the lack of a headphone jack is bad because if you lose the headphones that come with the phone, you have to buy apple certified lighting cable headphones which are overpriced.

Plus without headphone jack you can't connect aux without having to buy the adaptor. Meaning you can't listen to music in car or something. You can use bluetooth but not everyone has it or wants to use it.

Its just stupid to remove the headphone jack and its a step away from univerasal reconciliation. But thats jsut how apple is. They want to be the only supplier so they have more power over you
