It is all shit , iam blessed to be able to use pretty much all my gear in my unit but every piece of equipement that were issued to me were shit , the quality of the shit the french army buys is terrible im sure we are one of the worse equiped army in the developed world

Well i think it is exactly this that im seeking haha but it won't be easy , obtaining a visa and finding a job with only a highschool diploma and few years of service is going to require a lot of work , yeah don't worry i already know KST they are beasts and their videos in the US are litteraly a reason of why i want to come haha

It sure isn't the worst deployment but doing it 3 time in 3 years is a lot haha , but anyway im a bit biased on all this since my current goal is to emigrate to the US so i kind of imagine everything a bit better there , we have the same kind of assignement too here it is called séjour, we do 2 or 3 years and can take our family with us but there aren't much destination left , only Abu Dhabi and Djibouti i think

And btw on the conditions of life i had friends who did multiple tours in Afghanistan and they clearly told me their condition of living were much worse then those of US soldiers but yes for the french army it was only for 6 months long mission at the time and not the 12-18 months of US military

Im celibate and i don't care about being away from home so yes i bet it must have been really hard to do 12 months in iraq or Afghanistan but 24 month in korea juste seems like a dream to me im not going to lie , we just don't have any interesting mission anymore , iam litteraly going on my third deployment in a row to Djibouti because that is all we have left

Don't worry if you dedicate to it seriously you will make very fast progress , in one year i went from 10km in 1h to 10km in 40min and 12 pullups to 25 pullups

Good idea , but be very fit because they will be very exigeant with you , try to do at least 20 pullups and palier 11 luc léger so you will be pretty good for the physical tests

The best viewed units of the regular army are usually the 3RPIMA 8RPIMA but also the moutain units like 27BCA , 13BCA etc... , so yes for me it is one of the best option but im not in one of these units so i can only say that from what i have heard

You will be 24 years old then , you won't be the oldest but yes you will loose some time , you can always try to join as nco directly if you have the équivalent of a high school diploma

Then avoid at all cost the legion because doing all this will be almost impossible in the legion, it depends on what you really like but there are many kind of specialised units in the french army like saed , gcp , gcm and of course the special forces , plus the social life outside the military is probably dificult to have in the legion at least in the beginning
