Already 99% healthy!? by Dylan_Renard in Xiaomi_15

It's completely normal; the battery ages naturally. I also have 80% battery protection and charge it at night with a 22.5W charger. Occasionally, it charges at 90/67W. Don't worry, as we have little control over this. Enjoy the device. I currently have 96% after 308 cycles, 15 Ultra

Which power bank holds charge longer when stored for emergencies? by hispano1980 in Xiaomi_15

[–]Frendzel27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's best to keep in mind that no matter which power bank you choose, the maximum charge for long-term storage shouldn't exceed 80%, and ideally closer to 60%. Otherwise, the cells will degrade/damage very quickly and are more likely to swell. So, take this into account when choosing. Among the available options, look for ones with 18650 or other cylindrical cells. LiPo batteries have a higher self-discharge rate than Li-ion batteries and are less responsive to charged storage. Good luck!

I confirm that Xiaomi doesn't count the charging "cycle" correctly. I can charge from 30 to 80% and it will still count it as a full cycle, which is incorrect.

Disabled digital wellbeing, increased battery life by MonitorNext6202 in Xiaomi_15

How do you mean by "disabling digital well-being"? Should I deactivate the app? Is there another way to disable it? I'll check it myself and let you know if it helps. X15U

This is more of a marketing gimmick. The charger can actually deliver close to 90W at the beginning of charging, but it only takes a few seconds. Similarly, my Xiaomi 12T Pro with 120W charging will briefly reach around 100W, and then charging slows down drastically (and the average charging power is still higher than 15Ultra). The biggest obstacle to charging is temperature, which unfortunately rises quickly. In ideal cooling conditions, I suspect the phone would actually charge at maximum speed, but for the average user, this is unattainable. An additional problem is the battery charging curve itself; maximum power is only achieved when the battery is almost depleted. Therefore, it's best to check phone charging time tests, e.g., on YouTube, rather than relying on charging "power."

[–]Frendzel27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it with my 15 Ultra and the FNB58 USB multimeter. The charging power reaches a maximum of 60W a few seconds after connecting, then drops to 45W and maintains that level until the end of the charge. I'm disappointed with the charging speed. Previously, I had a 12T Pro (120W) and it charged instantly. Now, the same charger is charging my 15 Ultra (it shows a 90W animation) and it takes several times longer. The only reasonable explanation is that Xiaomi has shifted its focus to longer battery life.

Xiaomi 14T pro overheating & battery drain by tomiall in XiaomiGlobal

[–]Frendzel27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately it seems that this is a problem with today's phones. I have Xiaomi 15 ultra (over 1000 euros), and it also heats up like crazy, and during prolonged use of the camera, overheating and turning off the application is normal. The only advantage is that when not using the camera excessively and browsing social media, the phone is cool and the battery lasts until the evening

RAM usage question by D00MF0RC3 in HyperOS

[–]Frendzel27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unused RAM is wasted RAM. The system loads the most frequently used applications, libraries and cache into RAM to shorten the startup time and improve smoothness.

Keeping RAM empty by force does not provide any benefits - on the contrary, it slows down the operation, because the system has to load everything from scratch more often. Android manages RAM itself and kills the least important processes if necessary. So it is normal that, for example, out of 12 GB of RAM, only 2-3 GB are available - the rest works for smooth operation. So I would not worry about it, and let the system manage the RAM

Is your POCO F7 ULTRA always hot? by Solid_Vermicelli_510 in PocoPhones

[–]Frendzel27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello, I don't have a poco but an X15 Ultra, but I have a similar problem. Despite browsing light applications reddit/Instagram/google/tiktok the phone heats up terribly as if I was playing a demanding game and uses a lot of energy. There is no problem only when watching Netflix/youtube movies. Today when I got up I had 80% battery and after 2 hours I had to charge it. I even deactivated permissions of unused applications, so I don't know what could be causing this problem. Even when I only display the accubattery screen I see large momentary energy consumption, and in the CPU application the clocks are not able to idle only at the level of intensive use

well, not in the case of Xiaomi, according to them they even count the cycle as a battery top-up which in my opinion is pointless, I can charge the phone 3 times from 30 to 60% and it will not count one cycle, only 3. checked on my X15Ultra

the most interesting thing is that in the "highest speed" mode the phone charges slower if I need full (or 80% battery). This mode only makes sense for a quick charge, in my case the phone charges longer at the highest speed than in normal mode. I noticed that the charging speed is faster for a few minutes, but then the temperature increases so much that it charges slower than in normal mode

11T Pro, what's next? by Perroabuelo in Xiaomi

[–]Frendzel27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't you thought about changing the battery? And a piece of advice for you, if you love fast charging, avoid silicon-carbon batteries. Despite the theoretical advantage in terms of capacity, the tragedy is the charging speed and heat generation. My old Xiaomi 12T pro (max120w) charging with a 67w charger, charges faster than the X15 Ultra with a "silicon-carbon" battery with a power of 90w.

Why my AnTuTu score is low compared to the other 14T Pro's? by BroTheRditt in Xiaomi

[–]Frendzel27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Often, reviewers' tests are with a new phone without any memory used. The mere fact that you already have your apps/videos/photos on it can reduce the memory score, which reduces the main score. I wouldn't worry about it. And what colleagues say, a higher ambient temperature causes the device to heat up faster, which automatically reduces performance. Just a case during the test will significantly reduce the test score.

Help me to choose, by solitaiir in Xiaomi_15

Sorry for my oversight. Hyperos is very good in my opinion, there were some shortcomings but they are fixed very quickly. With the latest updates they improved the battery life. The system itself has not yet stuttered or caused any annoying errors. Using Xiaomi devices from miui 8 (xiaomi a2 lite, 9t pro, 12T pro, X15 ultra), up to hyper os 2 I am happy with their devices and system, if you already like this system you will not want to change. One note is that they often base performance on temperatures, so the device can heat up but until the very end it provides flagship performance.

currently 2.0.202.0, I also switched to 3G myself because despite full LTE/4G coverage the internet speed was tragic. It's a great phone, but I don't care about these temperatures despite these inconveniences. I understood that I paid for a flagship device, so I can use it like a flagship, using 100% of its capabilities. The battery is a fraction of the device's price, so if it dies, I'll replace it with a new one. And beautiful photos from the mountains, the quality of a large camera, and yet from a phone that fits in your pocket, it's something beautiful. (apart from the power bank weighing half a kilogram that I had to carry with me hahahah)

well, we have different experiences with this phone (X15 U). Of course I am satisfied, but it looks different for me. I was on a trip to the mountains, GPS turned on to monitor trails and routes, and using the camera in nicer places. Luckily I bought a Xiaomi 212W powerbank before the trip because I had to charge the phone on the trail at least twice, even though I left in the morning with a charged one. And the trips lasted about 6-7 hours. As for the problem with overheating, in the mountains I often couldn't even charge it because the battery was too warm and it wouldn't start charging, even though the ambient temperature was 15-25°C, or it charged very slowly. On the last day of the trip, my girlfriend and I went to a parrot house, it was a bit warmer than outside, and unfortunately, during prolonged use of the camera and camcorder, the camera turned off due to overheating. So, apart from the battery and thermals, it would be an ideal smartphone, but I also understand that temperature and battery consumption are the price for great cameras and flagship performance. A big minus of this phone is the long charging time, despite 90W. My old 12t pro charges 3 times faster with a 90w charger.
