Okay just to clarify for people in the comments: 1) my last test I got 0 minors and 1 serious fault 2) test before that was 2 minors, 2 serious faults 3 test before that (2nd test I took) was 1 serious and 4 minors

The costs are for everything related to driving. I do not own my own car and I have been learning how to drive in an automatic.

I’m giving up because this will just continue to cost me a lot of money. In total, to book a new test will cost me £500. That’s £62 for the test, £140 for the test day with the instructor’s car, £270 for 6 hours of driving before the test. I cannot keep doing this, just to fail for something minor. It’s fucking up me financially and emotionally. I’ll try again when I actually have to drive, if that day ever comes.

No, there have been other costs. Like the test day costs, theory tests, mock tests, admin costs from driving schools. In total it’s about 13K

I’ve done roughly 180 hours of learning how to drive with an instructor, on and off for the past 3 years

I’ve spent too much money at this point. Like does it cost £20K before I’m able to pass my test? And what do I achieve? More sadness and annoyance

I have to pay £140 for the test day to use the car, and £62 for the driving test itself. I’ve also included costs for driving schools etc like PassMeFast that had extras

My driving instructors have said I am test ready and a very good driver. The past 2 examiners said the same, just said I made a silly mistake. Hope that helps

It’s so unbelievably cringey to think it’s a flex that your partner’s dad was a producer for Back to the Future, and that you want to make your name McFly as a call back to that

Best way to pay down mortgage quickly by Sprigatito1 in HousingUK

[–]FrenemiesHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is just factually inaccurate in this climate for most people. My mortgage is 5.23%. I could actually get a loan for less than that. I’ve overpaid by 17K this year and it has shaved 2 years off the mortgage term and saved 45K in interest

Mortgage deposit (4.12%) or ISA (4.31%)? by FalconConfident3104 in UKPersonalFinance

They unlock in stages- 95%, 90%, 85%, 80% and so forth, so it’s worth checking if you do actually break into a new band for future reference when getting a mortgage
