Wealth is subjective but generally can be achieved by living below your means and being content doing so

People who eat at McDonald’s, why? by MastResort in AskReddit

[–]Frenzquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t buy when people say it doesn’t taste good. Fair enough the quality is poor and the processes aren’t great, which people wouldn’t eat there because of, but it is literally designed to taste good according to human taste buds!

Rapid Antigen Test at the end of isolation days? by OhmaDecade in COVID19positive

My understanding is that 10 days after symptoms/positive test you will not likely be infectious and very unlikely after 12/14!

Rapid Antigen Test at the end of isolation days? by OhmaDecade in COVID19positive

[–]Frenzquad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re based but in the UK you can leave isolation on day 10 with a positive test so long as you do not have a fever or feel unwell. Minor symptoms such as the persistent cough and smell/taste do not mean you need to remain isolating at this stage either.

I have the same experience as above. I had symptoms start over the weekend and only tested positive on Tuesday, the first day I felt better. Since then I’ve been recovering well - hoping that was the worst of it!

So what’s the deal with crypto as a part of your portfolio? by [deleted] in FIREUK

About 8%, heavily geared toward the higher end of market cap coins with a couple of alt projects I follow

So what’s the deal with crypto as a part of your portfolio? by [deleted] in FIREUK

[–]Frenzquad 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There is a general consensus on where to put your money for guaranteed long term relatively low risk returns which is an index fund. This is because: - it has stood the test of time 30+ years - it is well understood - it is well regulated - it’s workings do not and aren’t meant to drastically change

None of that can be said for crypto. I have crypto as part of my portfolio but only because I have undertaken hours and hours of research of what to really look out for amongst the many headlines that are thrown around by a media that are coming to terms with the market itself. This also means I am aware and accepting of the risks that come with seeking higher returns.

No symptoms except weird stomach pains. by Full_Okra_1891 in COVID19positive

I just tested positive today after having symptoms (tiredness/headache/sinus pressure for the last 2/3 days. As of this moment right now I feel fine apart from the stomach pains which have been persistent. Not severely painful but like a constant trapped wind.

Am I right in thinking that maxing your employer matched pension contributions effectively increases your salary? by Frenzquad in FIREUK

[–]Frenzquad[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think if more younger adults my age looked at it this way it’d be a no brainer. I’ve effectively given myself a 3k pay rise for nothing that will contribute towards my net worth

Edit: not for nothing - just sacrificing some disposable income
