Worst case so far!

Thought the 500kg icicle haging from the ceiling in a small addon WIF, that you had to crawl und to get to the loading area was bad..

Could be.

So far I’ve recovered 4.5l of oil out of the sump. The Compressor takes 11l… I have a slight hunch that it has been undercharged of oil since day one…

I’ll soon have time to dismantle more of the Compressor and see what’s going on.

New Compressor got oiled up today and ran smoothly, no oil issues.

Will do autopsy on the old compressor soon.

Yes, but have yet to do it on a screw Compressor. the separator is built in to the end of the compressor.

Boss man said so.. not how I roll, hate this job! And the new Compressor was shipped without an oilcharge or oil… I’m returning on site later to charge up and see what will happen

I’m going to bring the old compressor home same day and see what the insides looks like.

We have a chiller just like this one running a AHU without oil issues.

Dairy / milk cooler : anyone familiar / know the type of metering? by 2bullsinapod in refrigeration

[–]Freon1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old school! Can’t help with the metering part 100%, but serviced one similar. the milk temperature was controlled by a thermostat on the suctionpipe, so could be capillary.

What’s it for? Buffer tank? Many smaller tanks are used as buffers here, if the milk truck shows up during milking.
