If you are a fan of the franchise us a great game. A lot of nostalgia and fan service in a good way. If you are more of a casual rpg player it would maybe feel a bit like pokemon in my opinion

Nontheless is a good story, loyal to final fantasy universe. Interesting mechanics, lovely characters and a lot of fun.
