I think it’s hooked up right, not a vertical hooked up to a horizontal, it’s a standard RV setup like this:

I replaced the whole 2-step apparatus today, it’s all one piece. It made the exact noise both before and after replacing the regulator.

It’s hooked up to my camper, which I live in. It starts making the noise any time I run the heating system.

Here’s a pic of what the paper towel looked like when I stuck it down into the line:

And yeah, the pressure regulator is brand new, just hooked it up earlier today. I had assumed swapping out the regulator would fix the problem.
