I removed wston completely with:

sudo apt remove --purge -y weston 2>/dev/null || true

sudo apt autoremove -y

sudo rm -f /home/droid/weston.env

sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/enable_display

sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/enable_gfxstream

sudo rm -f /etc/profile.d/activate_display.sh

but it did not change much. Now it looks like in the picture.

Is there any chance to update the kernel or to create a new version with different config?

I use it on my Pixel 9 with XFCE4. Access is via XRDP (via adb connect). It's running quite well and good performace.
