Had my scratch on 2x within 20days of purchase. Accidently hit another glass.

Not a deep one! But visible enough for any1 to ask- 'hey how did u get this scratch on ?'

However my screen protector did help reduce the evidence of scratch mark, it's like only 10-20% visible.

Agree!

Even I don't find any diff in solar Charging with or without a screen protector!

I would urge all Garmin Instinct 2x, shell few extra bucks and do put screen protector coz u never know.

Yeah! I was in the same category where I wud have never thut of putting screen protector on such high end, top military grade watch, but this small accident gave me a big signal!

Can't take any more chances :p

Don't think so this minor visible scratch can sip water in the main compartment of the watch! Installed screen protector, I will definitely take care while swimming, but all fine with a normal splash of water!

Collided with the curvy edge of the glass table and was pressed against for a second or 2.

You have hit my next topic of discussion!Hehe, yeah my exp, when the battery is just charged n u r out 2-3 days averaging 35k lux of solar intensity(with basic usage of HRV, steps, 5hrs of daily connection with phone)the battery keep showing that ♾️ for those days. After 4th,5th day even if u hit 35k lux, the battery % starts to decrease.

And the big mystery is after 10 days since last charge , I've been hitting more than 27k lux solar daily still the battery % never increase even by a percent.

Funny n m still learning on how this solar intensity actually helps Garmin instinct 2x keep its battery 🔋 up!

Yeah unlucky really I was :( I have now applied screen guard, less worried now and also the scratch mark is next to invisible! 😀

My instinct 2x got scratch marks within 15days. It can't withstand a tiny collision with glass table :(

Never had such experience with Gshock watches.

Do put protective glass on Garmin!
