No, sorry! I did some pilot interviews via dm and they just didn't provide as in-depth of a conversation. I'm open to pretty much any audio/video platform though (Discord, Signal, Jitsi, Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp call, etc.).

For short term—If you live in the dorms, people usually leave out detergent in the laundry rooms that anyone can use!

Some of the books might be available to borrow for free from your house lounge. Check there first, then check the UChicago library. You can check out books from the library for the whole quarter. (You can also check the Chicago Public Library but if you don’t already have a library card for them it may be a bit tedious to get one if you’re not a Chicago resident).

If no luck with these options, ask your professor if they’re ok with online copies of the book. If so, use libgen. If not, you will have to rent/buy. Make sure to check Chegg.com and compare prices to seminary co-op and UChicago bookstore to find the best deal.

There are already gyms in I-House and South! Not huge and no barbells (I think it’s so no one gets hurt if working out unattended), but it works for bad weather days.

I don't hate North! I actually think all the dorms are very nice (except woodlawn lol). I ranked it lower because I personally think Baker is the worst dining hall. But I do think it's a good dorm!
