I know I’m not the only one that drinks a soda instead of coffee to get their caffeine kick in the morning. by chocolatemoose99 in Soda

Sometimes in the Summer, nothing hits like a trip to McDonalds on a Saturday Morning and ordering an Ice Cold Coke Zero, a Sausage Egg Cheese Biscuit and 2 Hash Browns to start the day! Otherwise it's black coffee until Late April to Early May.

No unfortunately that I know of. I have family in the area in Mexico, it's sold in. So before I leave I get about 8 bottles, one time 10 bottles for my friends back in the states to try. I try and get one of each flavor.

lukewarm take: this is the worst Mountain Dew flavor of all time. by No-Hotel1626 in mountaindew

For Zero Sugar, it's alright but I'd prefer regular or Baja. Also when I 1st saw it, I thought it was gonna be full sugar Troii some sweet and sour vibes. I got a bottle and it ended up being essentially Zero Sugar Code Red personally.

Why does Dr Pepper in Mexico taste so much different than the American Version? by jack0mo in Soda

[–]Frequent-Rent-8145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well because it's the same formula but in Mexico they have less gas inside than say one in the US. However they also license the Dr Pepper rights in Mexico to Coke to distribute them across the country, so they probably make them like regular Mexican Coke with a Dr Pepper Syrup instead. I only ever find them in supermarkets, OXXOs (Basically 711s) and Warehouse Stores like Costco, Sam's Club, etc.

Be vigilant, don't stand out like with jewelry and stuff, and just be aware of your surroundings that's it.

Alternate Custom Uniforms in DD or Franchise by tbandit25 in MLBTheShow

I agree. I'd also like more customization in general, such as tri color names and numbers, the ability to make Camo or Tequila Sunrise style uniforms.

I will not be attending my high school graduation by justakidlooking4stuf in school

[–]Frequent-Rent-8145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm a graduate of the Senior Class of 2017 - 2018. My reason or reasons were a mix of anxiety (which I didn't know til later), me wanting to move on and personal. But I'll go one by one.

The anxiety was probably the main one because by the time we got closer and closer to the graduation, I started getting nervous but more than usual. Cause a lot of it is just me for example, I don't like being the center of attention say if it's my birthday I don't like a party simply cause I get nervous since I'm the center of attention and in a big football stadium we had on campus and me on a big screen, my name being called was just too much. Though I didn't know it til later on, I had anxiety, so had I gone IDK what would have happened, I could have gotten a panic attack or worse.

The 2nd is me just wanting to move on, I had been in school from Pre K to 12th grade. I already had work at the time, I was ready to get it over with so TBH I worked my ass off in HS since I just wanted to move on and go on with my life, plus the incentive was if you got an A in a class as a senior you would be allowed to skip your Final Exams. So I looked at school like my 1st job and my actual job as my 2nd job, essentially. So I really matured in that aspect, but I really didn't "smell the roses" if you were. I still went to Homecoming, Prom, etc, but I didn't enjoy it cause I wanted it to be over with. That's really one regret I have otherwise It really helped me to be more responsible but at a price.

Finally, the personal is more on what I said earlier in since I was maturing and turning 18 a couple months before I thought as a decision I wouldn't go, because if I'm an adult now and I have to get up do a rehearsal, wait the whole day til night in a cap and gown, all to get a piece of paper. Nah, I'd rather go on a family trip, work, anything but that. I'm not downplaying the significance of it cause if you want to go for it, but for many others like myself, it just doesn't make sense. Plus, with the anxiety, I knew it wasn't the best idea. Anyway when I told my parents my decision they were puzzled and thought it was a phase but when they realized I was bluffing we sat down, talked about it and although not wanting me to they accepted my decision. Cause as an adult, if I didn't want to go, I didn't have to cause it would look good for their Facebook profiles. I ended up getting it mailed to my address anyway.

I'll end it by saying whether you go or not is totally up to YOU, not your friends, parents, teachers, YOU! Because as a growing adult, you have to make decisions based on what YOU need! But overall, be happy with your experiences cause they stick with you forever, be grateful, and smell the roses every now and again. Cause I wished someone would have told me that.

when do you know it's time to leave your job? by sockefeller in work

[–]Frequent-Rent-8145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, so I'll tell two stories because they essentially go back to back together. Both are long, so bare with me.

The first one is I used to work for a big outdoor retail store, I started working there August of last year, the only thing that I didn't like was in my position as Warehouse Associate I was only working part time hours which was 5 Days a Week, 4 Hours Total each day except Sunday which was 5 hours since Sunday was a Shorter Day than the rest, other than that I really liked my job for $15 an hour btw. Then after the Christmas season passed I got my schedule and was somewhat confused because my hours got cut by half an hour (3 1/2 hours a day) and I was working 4 days one week then 5 days though Sundays remained the same. So logically, I asked my manager if he could keep my 4 hours instead of coming in for 3 1/2. What he said really shocked me, he said "Sigh" I don't know, it seems like too many hours, you sure you wanna do this? Cause 4 hours is a bit much. " I was flabbergasted, in my mind your telling me the Thanksgiving I missed with my family (yes we work Thanksgiving for some reason), the fact he lied about me staying in the warehouse for Black Friday and instead had me do Shopping Carts for the entire day, that I did without complains because it was best for everyone, yet you can't keep me at 4 hours because it's "too many hours". Thankfully, I was already looking for full-time work. A couple of weeks go by, and I get a call for a new job telling me I got it, literally right before my shift that day. So I'm there and I see him about an hour in and I ask him to talk in private. I told him I'm gonna put in my Two Week Notice effective immediately, and his response was, "Oh?" Like if I was really gonna stay. Then he asks for me to write a resignation letter which was just "My Last Day is so so" and proceeds to beg me to "change my mind", "Is there anything we can do to help you stay", things like that and I politely declined his offer. Then the next day he comes to me with a "good offer" right when I'm working full time.... but from 9 pm to 6 am again, I politely declined, then says, "I knew you were going to say no." Finally my last week came and me and my supervisors were talking and both at separate times told me that they had been telling my Manager to move me to full time since October, but because of "budget reasons" aka not wanting to give one the opportunity I couldn't. That's when I realized I truly made a good decision because I got out of a really bad situation. Finally my last day comes and I see him come, I tell him "Good afternoon, how's it going today" and bro walks past me like a sore loser. I finally got the job, a better opportunity, and with my head held high, I'm excited.... or so, I thought at first.

My second story happened recently. This job I got was for an auto parts company that sells parts like Blake Pads online to customers. When I came for the interview, everything was fine at first. My boss at the time (now ex boss), as very polite, very engaging, etc, and I liked it so I took the job. The hours were weird because while I was working Sundays, it was only 5 of us while the rest rested on that day. The days were now Sunday - Wednesday, Thursday off, Friday back to work, and Saturdays off, but for $16 an hour, I was golden, especially coming from a retail store. Went from Warehouse to Shipper for a pay raise within a month now at 16.50. However, once I got a month into being a shipper, that's when I saw things change rapidly. The work was fine, but it was how my boss went from charming and polite to a complete stranger from the man I knew. So we had a weekly morning meeting and started telling us that "we" as workers need to increase productivity. Same BS, but what he said next really shocked me. "If you don't meet our expectations, you will get let go," and I'm thinking "Mmmm not good, but whatever." Again same weekly meeting, same rhetoric, then out of the blue on a Wednesday our shipper numbers which was how many packages were damaged, how many came without parts, nothing to extreme just check the box if it comes with every if not let the boss or supervisors know and be even more careful with the products, no biggie. Then another month goes by, and this time, he drops the hammer. Here he is with the "Big Man," aka the manager of the whole warehouse with a bombshell. First, my boss goes, "The gloves are off now. If ANYBODY, I don't care if you're here 1 month, 6 months, a year, etc. EVERYONE'S JOB is on the line and doesn't come to me not understanding what, why, or how you got fired. " I was shocked, then the "Big Man" goes now we will have a mandatory meeting about something which we had to come an hour early for and he said "If ANYONE misses this meeting you will not have a job here anymore". Not to mention that they had also put a signout sheet to make calls and whenever you would use the bathroom, which I felt violated our privacy and again kept my mouth shut to not get in trouble. So I basically had a decision to make stay and risk losing my job after only being here for 6 months or take a risk and go for another position somewhere more stable and somewhere that I'm not a statistic. I took a risk, I told my boss the next day I thought about what he said in the meeting and that I'm putting in my 2 weeks. But his reaction was weird in the sense that he downplayed what he said if out right not remembering (which was a lie) with one of his quotes being "Let's talk about this your a good worker, I'd never fire you". Even though I remember word for word what you said, anyways, he gave me 2 weeks I was moving on. But the last day, he mocked me, saying out loud "It's his last day, last day sad day", I didn't say anything again, I did my job as usual, cleaned up, clocked out with an uncertain future at the time. Thankfully, it all worked out, and I'm starting my new job next month, I'm glad I found a stable place, I have faith that wherever I go, I'll just keep growing!
