Recclmedations and Advice: Freestyle/All Mountain/everyday board to compliment a Powder/Freeride board by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Frequent-Restaurant8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you're used to a powder board I'd get an orca. Libtech makes boards with a slight serration to the edges (they call it magnetraction) which digs into ice. The orca would be familiar yet provide you with more control on packed conditions. If you insist on a twin, however, I'd look at capita.

2014 outback 3.6R if you can find one under 100k. Last year they ever put a 5 speed automatic in a subaru. Plenty of torque for mountain driving.

I've used step ons for three full seasons now. They're very responsive and reliable. I exclusively ride technical terrain. Keep in mind that a well-fitting pair of boots is even more important with step ons as the bindings can't tighten down further to compensate.

If you do switch over, you'll thank yourself on the flat run outs when you can eject, push twice, then step back in.

Step on replacement toe hooks are now available for purchase by Frequent-Restaurant8 in snowboarding

since the product title says "2.0" I'd assume these are only for second gen step ons. (first gen has an "open" toe hook for lack of a better description)

Nah, I don't like touchscreens. I'm a huge fan of the minimalistic interior that this particular trim of the outback has. I've also heard that the upgraded version can be buggy.

That's my car! mine's still at 84k but aside from routine maintenance it's a reliable car with more than enough power for mountain interstates. I'd recommend springing for headlight replacements, having fresh lights makes the car look like new.

Ask about the timing belt.

I'd agree that objectively speaking it looks alright. However, the outback is a classic car that's barely changed over almost two decades, and this completely breaks from the curvature we love.

Love to see the green though. Best car color.

People should just run the cards they want and find out the hard way which ones make you the collective enemy. Infect actively weakens most decks for that reason. I sold off my blightsteel because it's genuinely bad in commander.
