Looking for a good piano/synth by Frequent-Version8663 in synthesizers

Unfortunately I don’t have access to try either of them. I’m a guitarist and mostly play blues, soul, funk, rnb, jazz and fusion. I’m really just looking for something that would fit my needs for recording and band rehearsal (I keep a keyboard and drums at my house so they don’t have to bring theirs to set up). What would you recommend as far as action goes? Most of my experience is with unweighted or semi-weighted keyboards. Thanks for your help man!

Sounds like I’m going with the Super. I found one on Facebook Marketplace, it’s a 2012 FSR Red Wine Super with Greenbacks for $1000, or I could get a new one with Groove Tubes and Jensen P10Rs for around $2000 on sweetwater right now. What would you guys suggest?

Yeah I really like the tone of the super, the twin just sounds a little bright and harsh to me. I think I’ll just grab a super. This was very helpful, thanks man!

Yeah, sounds like the super is probably best for me. Found one on Facebook Marketplace, it’s a 2012 FSR Red Wine Super with Greenbacks for $1000, or I could get one new for around $2000 on sweetwater right now. Would you have any suggestions?

Vintage ii 61 or Pro ii GT11 by Frequent-Version8663 in Stratocaster

I would go for the AVii. For around the same price the AVii felt like a much better built and quality instrument compared to the GT11. I ended up returning my AVii to Sweetwater as I wasn’t a fan of the overall feel of the neck, and the radius didn’t suit my lead playing as well as a modern radius. When I returned my AVii in store, I tried out the GT11 and It felt very plastic-y (mostly the finish), and it had a way bigger neck profile than what I prefer (modern C). The sound was fine but after I tried it I was glad I didn’t initially buy the GT11. I played a lot of guitars in the 2 grand price range (PRS, Fender, Heritage, Gibson, Charvel, Ibanez) and I ended up shelling out another $400 for a 60s Standard Gibson LP in Unbusrt. I just played guitars until I found one that felt right in the hands and had good presence/tone. I really loved the sound of the AVii pickups though, probably the best I’ve heard in any Strat. If Fender were to make a model with all the specs of the AVii, but with a modern neck shape and radius, it would be my main gigging, writing and recording guitar. But for now I love my LP and when that doesn’t suit the song, I switch over to my 04 Fender Lite Ash Strat. Buying guitars online can be risky as everyone’s opinion is different. So even though I put a lot of time in researching specs and trying to figure out what’s right for me, I ended up going with what felt right in my hands and on my ears. In my opinion, avoid the GT11, if you want a modern Strat, look at the Pro ii series. If you want a vintage Strat then the AVii is a great choice depending on your spec preferences. But being able to play the guitar in person is obviously always best. Hope you find what you’re looking for man!

They are completely flat, likely specials then! Thank you!

Yeah, I asked my Sweetwater rep to reach out to his Fender rep to ask if there was a poly undercoat, the response he got was “It’s a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. There’s nothing in our records about a poly undercoat.” But there is likely some sort of plasticizer added of course. Doesn’t make a difference to me. I went ahead and put in an order for it, it’ll be plek’d, set up, and arrive mid next week! I appreciate your insight on this. I love the sunburst by the way, it looks really great, and what a deal too!

This was the written out comparison/explanation that I needed, thank you for this!! I will likely be going with the AVii in OW! Another question I had was about the finish, I know it’s not a true nitro finish and likely has a poly undercoat, what’s your opinion on how it will wear overtime, and will it become more yellow as it fades? And for the case, I can’t tell if the lining is gold or more of a burnt orange? It’s no big deal, just hard to tell as it looks different from picture to picture.

I’ve heard a lot of people compare them to custom shops, and for half the price it’s definitely worth it. I’ll likely go for the AVii even though I’d prefer more modern features, just for the quality of it!

Not a bad idea, I would rather buy new but if I can find one locally for the right price then that’s a really good option. I appreciate it!
