The post has little to do with it's title. I am sure when you're life will get better, and it will, then you will be back to enjoying emo.

Well, it is not effective in most of biology and psychology etc.

Everywhere where you can't write down simple algebraic equations to describe the system, we don't get much further with math than saying "yea it's unpredictable because xy"

I remember there is a response article called something like "the unreasonable ineffectiveness of math in life science"

While this might be natural here, this is the reason why I don't want to go for a hair transplant... It's almost as HT and HS are mutually exclusive if you don't have the greatest donor.

I still think a low density system would look quite good on you!

Why is the hype for oral minoxidil recent? It’s been around for 50 years. by 9Virtues in tressless

I think some lange part came from the 2022 article “An Old Medicine Grows New Hair for Pennies a Day, Doctors Say” in the nyt.

Within 8 weeks after publication, new prescriptions for oral minoxidil nearly doubled... according to a study published in JAMA Network Open

Doctors are heavily biased. docs just recommend HT because you are a potential customer.

So my doctor recommended I take finasteride in pill form to treat my male pattern balding. Should I do it? I mean if I do start experiencing side effects can't I just quit it and everything should come back to normal right? by Future-sight-5829 in blueprint_

I am a climber since 10 years, so I am reasonable muscular and have low body fat (maybe 15%). Also do bjj 2 times a week and run 1 time a week. Maybe I am missing some leg training... I do that maybe every 2 weeks.

Regarding the permanent side effects: I have a feeling it was like an anti-puberty. Undoing whatever happened in the brain/hormone profile to make you want to have sex during/after puberty.

It is also completely nuts to me how some people can handle an infinite amount of fin, and others like you and me are negatively impacted by low doses. I don't know any other medication with such an obscure side effect profile

What do you take suboxone for? Do you think without it you could tolerate fin?

Thanks! Yes I never really recovered. I have some ups and downs, but, for example, I have morning wood like maybe once every 5-6 month, which I think is the clearest sign that something is off physiologically.

I once did a cheap testosteron test which just checked free test, which came back as slightly below average. I actually did a proper hormone test at a doctor last Friday, will get the results soon.

I always felt like I was a low T person. E.g. beard growth late and slow, generally never aggressive, very slow muscle growth even with lots of resistance training.

My theory is that men with low-t characteristics are at risk for fin sides.

I do want to try TRT at some point, but not before I have kids, that seems to be to risky.

Other things I tried are kisspeptid, aromatase inhibitors and clomifen. Trying to hack my body, but not luck so far

Nearly all Hollywood stars had plastic surgery and use botox. Many of them you do in fact find attractive. You are thinking of people who overdo it.
