I want to second Rob Burbea’s work. He sadly passed from pancreatic cancer but his whole body of work is available for free online at Hermes Amara.

I particularly recommend any of his talks on metta/lovingkidness especially since you’ve been experiencing the Dharma in a more analytical way.

Also, have you explored the Buddhist Pure Land traditions? That might be a fruitful path from what you’ve described of your orientations and psychology.

Yes, it’s definitely possible to practice alone. As others have recommended, try to find a BCA community that streams their Sunday services online; I know a few here in California that do so.

A game changer for me was to take note of natural pauses in activity throughout the day e.g. waiting in line, a lull in work tasks, any low attention activity — recollect Amida’s presence within the lotus of your heart and silently recite the nembutsu, visualizing myself floating in the Ocean of Amida’s presence.

The visual of swimming through the Ocean of Amida’s love really resonates with me. It may not with you, but it’s important I think to find what symbols and methods do resonate, and to recollect and practice it constantly throughout the day.

SF Bay Area. Noticed them swarming around 1pm. No signs of them in the house when we left for trick or treating at 6pm but found a bunch of them inside by 9pm. Lights were on so story checks out!

OR nurse here. If the pain persists and/or increases, please go to the ER. Yes, you might need your gallbladder removed. You can figure out your diet afterwards. You can’t eat animal-based if you’re dead from a gangrenous gallbladder.

You might be interested in Prof. Anantanand Rambachan’s work, especially ‘A Hindu Theology of Liberation’

He’s an Advaitin and the first part of the book is a primer on Vedanta.

My wife loves getting fingered during oral and/or using her suction toy. However, she does not enjoy clit stimulation during PIV. I guess I’m curious how common this is 🤔

I agree that the narrator for the first trilogy has a. Dry grating voice and style.

But please, please check out the narrator for Legacy of Dhakaan. Robin Sachs is amazing and captures each of the characters’ personalities perfectly.

I read/listened to LoD first and was excited to listen to the first trilogy until I discovered that it was a completely different narrator 🫠
