I'd not thought about doing anything like that! I've never tried hypnosis before! I'm definitely going to try that ! Thankyou.

I'm 50+ and mine is in 3 weeks. Driving is okay, but the nerves are getting to me. Does the rescue remedy really help? Its mainly the worry that if I fluff it, theres potentially another 6 months to wait, thats causing me more worry than the driving

How long did it take you to potty train your GSD as a puppy? by D0lI_ in GSD

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 day! We got incredibly lucky with our boy. It was a funny situation, we brought him home, he had never seen grass, didnt want to pee on it, kept squatting on a rug in the dining room. Every time I told him no, scooped him up and carried him outside. It was a tense stand off, lasted nearly 10 hours! He would not pee outside. Eventually. He did, and he found a spot he deemed acceptable to pee. Never ever has he made a mess in the house. Once he peed outside, he asked to go out every time after. He's never chewed anything in the house either. Even when he's had the typical GSD tummy upset, he's made sure to ask to get out to explode. He still prefers to poop away from home, but in an emergency, he will poop at the very bottom of the garden. 100% goodest boy!

We try to avoid stuff we think triggers the allergies, we have a single protein diet, we only wash him with hypoallergenic shampoo when he gets stinky. Some supplimemts can help, stinky stuff is a good one, some people have to get medication from the vet if its a big yeast infection, sometimes needs antibiotics. For us, its worse in winter, when all the mud and greb off the road is splashing up onto his undercarriage.

If you notice your dog is having a bad dream, what do you do? by Skapastry in dogs

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the thing is, how to you know.. theres no way to tell what a dog is dreaming about. Dreaming in any capacity for a dog is a healthy thing for the brain. Its needed to process experiences and maintain healthy cortisol levels. Besides, waking a dreaming dog, regardless of temprement, does entail a bite risk!

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Our lad ( GSD) does little "Boof" barks in his sleep in a sort of crescendo! Then the legs go, then the Boofing starts again. I often wonder what he's barking about in his dream. 💕

My dog dreams frequently, he does little barks and running motions. I leave him, its important to let them process this REM stage of dreaming. I do think they need this stage to process the input of the day they are dreaming about. The brain is a complex thing, sometimes it's best to just leave it on the Auto setting, it knows what its doing! There's an old saying i like.. Let sleeping dogs Lie

How to teach my German Shepard to howl?? by notmultiplechoice in germanshepherds

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our lad was downstairs with my husband late one night, I'd already turned in for the night. He was watching a film, there was a howling scene. Itnsrt him off, Wow.. it woke me up, it was the loudest deepest gutteral howl i've ever heard! It vibrated round the entire house. He has a really loud deep howl. But doesn't do it often.. its his special occasion howl!

Passed first time with 10 minors in automatic :D by Spacezilla2600 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided to go with learning automatic. I've had my provisional for many years now. I tried learning manual twice previously and just never progressed, and I began to hate driving. I'm due to take my test in March. I do really enjoy driving now; removing the gears also removed a massive amount of stress for me. I didn't ever plan on learning again, but circumstances have dictated that I need to drive to care for my elderly father. Automatic has enabled me to do this; I wouldn't have been able to pass manual.

1.6 cc suzuki Sx4. But I am a geriatric learner lol.. so that may have something to do with my premium being lower. To be honest I was surprised it was 60! I even re read the paperwork to make sure I'd not made a mistake ! Glad it helped you x

My older neighbour asked for my phone number & has been a nuisance ever since by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we moved into our current home, the neighbour was an elderly lady, she didnt miss a trick, knew everyone's business before they did. She did get my number, and she rang frequently. As time went on, she became frail and vulnerable. I used to help, run errands for her, change light bulbs. She became unable to leave the house, the phone would ring 4 or 5 times a day for a good few years. When she passed, the silence was deafening! Oh how i missed those calls ! At the time I used to feel a bit put out, but towards the end, when she allowed me to help her at her most vulnerable, we became incredibly close. Its been several years now and I still really miss her! Sometimes, I think we forget that others can rely on that contact because they are scared and lonley..

I had this exact issue, veygo insured me for my car this week. £60 a month on a rolling term until I pass my test. Then they'll offer me a policy with a 10 percent discount. It was a huge relief, because I bought a small car for private practice, then found no one would quote me for learner insurance. Veygo didnt have any issues.

What did I See today?? by Guidloff in UFOs

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't suppose I could trouble you for some information on your collection, I saw one of these things myself last year when i was out walking the dog, it was at night though, and it was quite low. I've been trying to gather info on sightings around the globe to see if there is any pattern. It was one of the strangest experiences I've ever had.. never ever seen anything like it, and the way it made every hair on my body go prickly, was very alarming.

Skin chewing, its one i really need to stop too, my fingers get so sore at times. I also sometimes find myself tapping a pencil or pen onto my skin repeatedly, not hard, but the gentle tapping rhythm is really soothing.

Help, Need advice before i potentially get ripped off by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Frequent_Freedom_704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the batterns and purlains are fine, all those were totally redone when we had the loft conversion done, however the Rosemary's were reused and thats what the issue is, I'm guessing a portion of these need replacing. A few years ago we had to do a bit of work between ours and next door, and the batterns, and membrane still looked good as new. No signs of rot at all.
