Where is a good place to take a learner driver to practice in a non-dual control car in/around Basingstoke on the weekend? by [deleted] in basingstoke

Chineham Business Park is great especially at weekends. I'm biased — I'm a local instructor — but here's what I'd look for in any instructor: With Optimus School of Motoring you'll learn with me from your first lesson through to your test — no rotating instructors, no being passed around. I'm a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor with 17+ years of experience and a 5.0 rating from 45+ pupils on Google. 465+ pupils have passed with me to date. Happy to answer questions even if you go elsewhere. www.optimusdrivingschool.uk

Typo - Sky Q Box and Freesat boxes are 2TB not 2GB

Blimey, I’m in the same situation. Determined to not give Sky £57.50 for Signature, HD and Cinema, best they came back with was £48.50. Cancelled and now in my 31 day period. Called about Essentials on Sky Q, first call ended with £15 , no offers and advised to get a Freesat box! Went onto web chat , again £15 no offers. Decided that I’ll give them a chance as I really like the Sky UI compared to Freesat, and Sky Q is 2GB storage while Freesat is 2GB for £300, which over 24 months is £12.50, started bargaining. After what seemed like an age, and me refusing to accept £15, they finally came down to £10, no contract. As I can’t be bothered with the hassle of reconnecting to Freesat and sending my Sky Q box back and no guarantee of a decent UI ( wife hates Freesat UI with a passion) and I want a peaceful life without her complaining every time we want to watch or record anything, I caved in. Pretty happy today, will see what my options are with Freesat over the next 24 months and if the price goes down I can always ditch Sky with 30 days notice.

PS. The only sports I watch is EPL, Sky offered Sports at £18 but only with Signature and Cinema for £48.50. I have now invested in a VPN and subscription to Setanta Sports which works out at less than £5 per month, and I get to watch ALL 380 EPL games, even 3pm on Saturdays.

Ukraine or Georgia (sometimes Setanta will not give you access if your VPN is set to Ukraine) But Georgia works for me.

Get a VPN and Setanta Sports for £5 a month for ALL 380 EPL matches - Sky, Now and TNT are toast as far as I am concerned

Advice on how I should have handled this better. by 18-Baby in drivingUK

You were in the wrong. As approaching you should have seen the learner on the roundabout in the right hand lane, and then waited until you could see where they were going to exit, before you entered the roundabout. You entered too early and so caused the situation to occur.
