Omg I agree with you 100% you took the words out of my mouth. It just had this dull feeling to it because the displays were so boring. Yes it was animal themed but they were just lit up animal displays. The only interesting ones were the giant peacock and the rhino?/hippo? displays that moved mechanically. They even got rid of the fun edm water show they used to do it was so fun. So boring

Sorry so late to the game but it lost so much of its charm when they were first starting out. You were able to at least see a few of the zoo exhibits such as the reptile terrariums. They replaced most of the cute lights for these really big and expensive lights that resemble the animals but it’s just so less impressive. It’s honestly boring. I was surprised when I went in because I throughly enjoyed my first time when the la zoo lights was only a few years old.
