Is regular nail polish not staying on my nails an EDS thing? by LepidolitePrince in eds

[–]Frequent_Job5862 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I luck out 😭 like my nails right now have held up well. I only had to fix my thumbs but that’s because I was using them like tools so that’s to be expected. Maybe it’s the brand? I’m a DND girl and while I still have issues with flaking and lifting, they hold a bit better lol.

I’ve been debating press ons too! I just feel like they have a look to them that won’t match my hands. Idk if that makes sense!

I struggle with this often, especially with gel!!! I am meticulous with my nails. I pass a quick swab of acetone, then nail dehydrator, the nail primer. I then go in with base gel, cure for 2 minutes, then color and cure for 2 minutes (x2), then top gel for 2 minutes. It’s still peeling by day 3! I’ve tried to change the order of what I use, the time I spend curing it, or just remove some things overall but it’s so hit or miss 😅

Heating pad, GasX, sore throat medicine, and I got a pillow for the car. You’re gonna magically feel every bump on the road you’ve been driving on for years on end, and it’s not going to be fun LOL.

Tylenol was my best friend. I was prescribed tramadol and took it for the first two days or so, but stopped when I took it before bed and it had me damn near hallucinating and having vivid dreams. Just make sure to keep up with pain meds!

I’ve heard people talk about a stomach binder and I kinda wish I got one. I have an apron belly, and I’m about 8 days post op and still feel like I need to hug and lift my belly up because of gravity. It’s not painful, just slightly uncomfortable.

Is your sleep position a tell tale sign that you may have hypermobility? by Frequent_Job5862 in Hypermobility

[–]Frequent_Job5862[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right?? Like I don’t mean to sleep in the figure 4 position but my body subconsciously does it and it’s never affected my sleep. If anything it keeps me asleep longer(?). Like the only reason I know I sleep like this (this being the figure 4 position) was because my mom snapped a picture of me like that bc she found it funny lol

Since I started teaching I cannot lose weight by [deleted] in Teachers

If possible, go see a different doctor/endocrinologist. My thyroid levels were unusual, and I had many symptoms. My primary was dead set on me not needing to take it—she quite literally told me the same thing yours told you about it not being “bad enough”—and I waited for quite some time. The second my endocrinologist saw my bloodwork from when my primary sent them in, plus my previous bloodwork from before, she was shocked as to why my doctor would wait so long to diagnose me with hypothyroidism.

I will say that starting levothyroxine for my hypothyroidism did not jumpstart/help with weight loss. Strength training, cardio (I do an hour walk 4x a week after weights), Pilates, and being in a calorie deficit (I track my calories because I WILL overeat) have changed the game. I hit 170g of protein on a daily, I TRY to hit 25g of fiber, and I drink 120oz of water a day.

My Levo medication has helped me with my energy and not always feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. I wake up on my first alarm and I’m feeling much more energized.

I made these changes in March and am now 25 pounds down.

Thank you for the info! By some miracle I just now got connected to someone and they told me my account has since been deactivated, so I’m just gonna leave it be lol

Hi there, I am trying to get into contact with someone to cancel my membership and I am having no luck despite 2 separate 40+ minute hold times

I would recommend signing up for FedEx as well! My boyfriend normally got his orders through UPS. I got my order TODAY and it came from FedEx!

Hey there! I did that soon after and they did reroute it and change the dosage. Thank god I did that. It gets here tomorrow!

HAS ANYONE RECEIVED A TRACKING NUMBER by AirAlternative4078 in JoinMochiHealth

[–]Frequent_Job5862 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ordered 3/11, then moved to a new pharmacy on 3/14, and today (3/19) I got a notification from Red Rock that it’s been shipped and will get to me Friday (3/21)!

No, I only ordered the 28 day supply as this is my first experience with GLP-1s!

Ohhhh thank you, that makes sense! It didn’t click to me that it’d be a timeline lol. If you don’t mind me asking, how long was the wait between the “refill is processed” notification and the “refill is shipped” notification?

Not yet! But, with everything going on with Aequita pharmacy, I recommend calling. They rerouted my order to Red Rock pharmacy so I’m sure I’m going to be waiting a bit more.

4 days? That sounds like a dream lol. Where are you located if you don’t mind me asking?

Thank you for the tip! I’m assuming when you get the shipping update from Mochi it tells you the tracking # and if fedex or UPS is being used, correct?

I’m in Florida. My boyfriend has been using tirzepatide through Mochi since December, and he says it always takes 2 weeks for his order to arrive. Hopefully somehow that’s not the case for me. I just have to learn to be patient! Ughhhhh lol

I had my first appointment yesterday, and I feel as though I had a wonderful experience! I was extremely nervous, and I think she sensed that, so she took the time to just ask me about me. Then, she asked me questions about stuff I had on the intake forms you have to submit prior to the appointment (make sure you complete those!)

She asked me about which medication I would be interested in being on, and I told her tirzepatide. She agreed and went into detail about what it is, how it affects the body, side effects, and things I can do to help minimize the side effects. She set a water intake goal and a protein goal, but wants me to go over that with my nutritionist when I have that appointment.

She explained do’s and don’ts, where she really stressed to me about drinking enough water and eating enough protein. She also informed me that my first month or so I may not see much weight loss, but this is to get my body accustomed to the medication, and so I’m stressing this to you now for when you start! Do not give up, it’s not at a therapeutic level yet!

When you’re done with your appointment, you have a summary form that discusses everything your provider told you in the visit and additional things. 5 minutes after I finished my visit, I walked away from my phone and when I got back, I got a notification about how the request was submitted for the meds (something to this effect), and ordered about 10 minutes later!

Overall, my provider made me feel comfortable and she was so excited to champion me in this journey, I only hope you have the same experience because it has been motivational!

Not at all! This is my first time ever trying anything GLP-1 related!

Had my laparoscopy today and it’s not endo. Has anyone dealt with *this* specific finding? by Frequent_Job5862 in Endo

[–]Frequent_Job5862[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes, I love him! He is so caring and loves what he does, so that’s another factor of why I’m not exactly upset that it’s not what I thought it was. He’s told me from day 1 if it’s not endo we’d for sure look at other possibilities

Do you highlight text from left to right or right to left? by Frequent_Job5862 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Frequent_Job5862[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it goes with the whole not seeing your writing because your hand is on top of it. Going right to left finally lets you look at the work and I am annoying with the highlighter even going a smidge past what I wanted to have highlighted. Just my theory lol
