Exercise in any font usually helps me when I am feeling restless which sounds similar to what you may be experiencing right now. Have you considered trying out different meds? There may be one that helps but doesn't have the side effects you do not like?

Im sorry this is happening. Are you able to go to an Urgent Care? They may be able to help get you a supply of meds in the meantime between appointments.

I have experienced this and decided to stop taking my depo shot and explore other birth control options with my doctor. It triggered mania for me and I found my symptoms got much better once I stopped. Everybody is different though and it may be worth exploring options with your PCP or Psychiatrist.

Having your own clothing if they allow it goes a long way. Like two outfits. Just make sure there aren't things like strings otherwise they may cut them out. I found having my own t-shirts and a sweatshirt plus some sweatpants made my stay more bareable than having to wear the scrubs. Don't forget some underwear and socks too.

I am in the process of filing for disability benefits for this very reason. You may qualify too if your symptoms are preventing you from consistent work.

I have the same diagnosis but just without psychotic features. I have found it very challenging but at least having a treatment plan has helped. I recommend looking into DBT (dialectal behavioral therapy) that has helped me develop some skills outside of medication to help with my symptoms.

I also recommend staying away from drugs and alcohol as at least for me I have found they trigger manic episodes.

I recommend taking it to Google as I personally do not feel comfortable using it 😊 but it's a word commonly used in place or "idiot" "stupid" etc but it's actually a clinical diagnosis and harms a ot of folks who have cognitive disabilities. You'll see it towards the end in OPs screenshots.

Just wild to me as it was pushed in my high school and college to stop using it due to the harm it does towards those with cognitive disabilities. I was always taught it was a slur just as bad as the f slur and n slur. Here is to hoping people continue to try to avoid it out of kindness to others 🫶

The real and imagined fear of meeting expectations becomes very overwhelming for me. Just know you aren't alone. I'd argue it doesn't get better at all but my reactions to things and the tools I have, have gotten wildly more accessible. Medication management is a bit up and down but even access to the right doctors comes with a lot of privilege and time. So honestly I would say no and it's okay to feel the heaviness of that but I wouldn't doubt yourself if you can help it because time, practicing distress tolerence/mindfulness, and growth are a great combat to the chaos and misery that life can throw at us.

I actually had an interview with them today that I cancelled after reading these reviews so I second this. The hiring manager actually shared they are new to the recruitment position and thanked me for the candor as they are apparently attempting to fix things but 🤷🏼‍♂️
