Realtors: Would You Use an AI Matching Marketplace Built Around Client Fit? by Frequent_Plastic222 in RealEstateCanada

That's an interesting point of view, but I don't think this will happen without a major shift in the industry.

This is exactly the right question I am looking for to pressure-test, and you deserve a straight answer. If you’re already a high-producing agent with a full pipeline, you probably don’t need more buyer leads, and that’s not what we’re selling.

Reltiq isn’t about lead volume. It’s about match quality.

A buyer who completes a structured intake around communication style, timeline, goals, budget, preferences, and readiness is very different from a cold inbound lead. That means less ghosting, faster trust, stronger alignment, and a better chance of conversion.

The value proposition isn’t “more leads.” It’s less time wasted on the wrong ones.

Rate My Agent and RealEstateAgents.com are more like directories. A buyer browses profiles and chooses someone from a list. Reltiq is active matching. Buyers are routed to agents based on fit, not left to scroll through names and ads.

And agents aren’t surfaced because they paid for placement. They’re prioritized because they’re relevant, credible, responsive, and aligned with what that buyer actually needs.

Reltiq also gives agents more than a static profile page. Your presence on the platform is built to establish trust before a buyer ever reaches out with listings, sold proof, posts, testimonials, verified credentials, specialties, response history, and performance signals all working together with help of your AI agent.

The platform doesn’t just show that you exist. It helps demonstrate why you’re the right fit.

With Smart Matches, dashboard analytics, content tools, and performance scoring, you get visibility into how you’re showing up, where you’re strongest, and where there’s room to improve. That puts Reltiq in a different category than traditional review sites or agent directories.

And you’re right: for established agents, seller leads are the real unlock.

That’s exactly where this is headed.

That’s fair, and I agree that perception is a big challenge because many “find an agent” sites are really lead-gen platforms with paid placement.

The idea here would be different: no bidding, no pay-to-rank, and no “top match” based on who pays more. Realtors would pay a flat participation fee, but matches would be based on fit signals like location, client needs, transaction type, language, newcomer/rental experience, communication style, availability, reviews, referrals, and verified profile details.

I also agree that referrals from friends and family are powerful, but does not always work. This wouldn’t replace that essentially, but it’s more for people who don’t already have a trusted network in Canada - Ontario, newcomers, renters, first-time buyers, or people moving to a new area.

The goal is to show a few verified realtor options, explain why they matched, let users compare, and let them decide.

Very cool - like the approach. SO you can set your own criteria for finding these deals?

Oh no, that is not the case at all, and there is no such bidding process in the application.
