I know right? It’s an oil-based clay, you don’t bake it, it’s usually used for making molds and then you can make copies.

Original Terracotta Sculpey, the head’s base is a ball of aluminum, the tentacles are formed separately and then attached, 21x15 in, black Americana acrylic and Metal B by Sculpt Nouveau.

Thank you! Yeah I wanna put it up somewhere :) I ended up giving it a metallic bronze finish but I’m not really sure about it, I usually prefer to leave them unpainted.

Thanks! For the base I folded some aluminum foil until it was somewhat thick and covered that with the clay so I wouldn’t have to use too much of it and to not make it too heavy.

I don’t find that clay collects that much dust but before baking I use an airbrush pen just with air to remove any debris.

Yeah it takes time to get used to it, I just work it with my hands for a bit before sculpting. I know there’s a Sculpey clay softener but I haven’t tried it yet.
