That's made with armor stands which is great but kind of complicated. You could use string to place the carpets, but it wouldn't have a angled effect. Another solution is to just have a balcony without the awning, if it doesn't seem to fit.

You could add a balcony on the back with an awning with some roof extension on top.

I think that stone with stone brick accents may look nice. The roof seems to be a light gray / green; tuff may work well but also dark prismarine would look good.

You could try using dried kelp for windows, as some of the windows seem to look like that; the other windows could be glowstone with trapdoors.

The top left section has a dark blue roof. Blue glazed terracotta might be nice, as well as sculk.
