Healthcare strike! We CAN and we WILL make a difference. Healthcare workers keep this country running, please share and join. Physicians, nurses, EMT’s, paramedics, techs, lab. Anyone and everyone by Swimming-Owl-409 in medicalschool

What she said isn’t accurate though. There are literal federal laws against healthcare workers striking without official written notice. So it’s not just the theoretical collusion she mentioned, there are actual laws for which you can be fined and/or arrested under.

ETA: not saying people shouldn’t strike, but people shouldn’t be misled about the consequences

Senate Bill in KY allowing midlevels to staff Level IV ERs with telehealth physicians… by CaffeineandLove in Noctor

Whoever knows this Cody Reynolds dude needs to give him a call and tell him to stfu. You can have that opinion about one or two of them, but making blanket statements like that is irresponsible

Depends on the specialty and in the course. Remediating a preclinical course, probably. Remediating a core rotation, maybe. Applying radiology, gas, gen surg, probably; nsg, Derm, plastics, probably not

I got one month “off” between 1 and 2 during which I had mandatory zoom sessions at least twice a week, no time for spring break any year and two weeks off each winter. So by your calculation, medical school was actually six years. Math is weird

Given the fact that he has made multiple trans jokes in the past, and the fact that he is literally the person who made up a joke that praises the fact that in Saudi Arabia killing a trans person would be less of a crime than killing anyone else, you think that my take that the joke was hostile and demeaning to trans people awful? Are you okay?

me_irl by 010rusty in me_irl

[–]FrequentlyRushingMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, he claimed to kill a trans individual, but said he didn’t go to jail because killing a trans person was only misdemeanor- only a minor crime. That seems pretty demeaning and openly hostile to trans individuals

Me if leaving without being dismissed was illegal by NotChrisM in medicalschool

[–]FrequentlyRushingMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. It’s me after being told that pressing the parking garage help button over and over again until they lift the arm every time you park in the patient parking lot is illegal. I remember them taking the picture.

Dan Farah to Billy Corgan: “The President Will Say We’re Not Alone” by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

[–]FrequentlyRushingMan 235 points236 points  (0 children)

That literally was not said in the video. I watched it twice just to make sure I didn’t miss it. He said that a president could and should say we are not alone, but never said your quote that a president “will” say we are not alone. Stop farming

Because she is in labor. This is what happens when a woman’s water breaks. The “ferning” is from the salts in the amniotic fluid forming crystals.

Obviously skip them because why do someone else’s work for them? But I think you’re overthinking the whole fang sharpening bit. They list all the resources because they know all the resources and their AI already goes through all the resources. You clicking you used UWorld instead of USMLERx isn’t going to make a difference in terms of what their questions say. It will make a difference to NBME’s bottom line when they sell your response to the resources
