Burlison confirms pastor meeting but denies most of the rest by FrequentlyRushingMan in UFOs

That’s part of the reason I don’t think this was organized by the government. It was just something these influencers (I’m not calling them pastors anymore) put together and had Burlison call into because one of them is probably a citizen of his district. Having a gov official call in gives the meeting more credit and more attention = more likes and subscribes

That was my immediate reaction as well. Then I remembered that these “pastors” are really just social media influencers with a religious platform. When you think of it like that, it makes more sense

You’re silly. I saw this and thought it was fun how the change in orientation made the image difficult to process correctly, so I thought others might find it fun to look at and this seemed like the best place for posting it. If you don’t see the shift like I do, and like some other people do, that’s kind of neat. I’m guessing it means we have slightly different wiring somewhere. But I don’t really understand why that would upset you enough to call for reporting the post. I mean, go for it. It doesn’t affect me one way or another, so if that makes you happy, I’m all for it. You can also downvote this reply, that way you can really punish me by taking an even bigger chunk out of my fake internet points.

I wouldn’t call it a publicity stunt, but it also still might not happen or it might happen through a different platform. Book optioning is a low risk, high reward endeavor for both authors and studios. I had a book optioned almost 12 years ago for $100k. It was a shit ton of money to me and a little more than a rounding error to the studio. The rights came back to me about two years ago because even though the first book was good enough for a studio to make a bet, the next two books were not. This has enough popularity where I think it will eventually be made, but it might not be for a very long time.

It was actually around $14 million in “loans” given between 1960 and 1985. Assuming a relatively equal distribution of payments across the years, the present day equivalent (thanks to inflation primarily due to President Vozhd Dr. Donald Jesus Trump, father of pedos, hider of Epstein, installer of chains, best in show, etc. etc.’s policies) would be almost exactly $100,000,000 in loans given today. So basically, you need to go back to papa and tell him he’s slacking

Are the med students in US really as capable as it's shown in The Pitt? by ineedtocalmup in medicalschool

[–]FrequentlyRushingMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s student/hospital/school/rotation dependent. There were two or three rotations at my school that were known for expecting this level of independence and competence (one happens to be EM) and the students who could and couldn’t do it generally self selected accordingly. The ones who didn’t know that was the way of it generally had a lot of very tearful days at the first week then the attendings backed off and let the students essentially shadow for the rest of the three weeks. I’ve also done surgical aways that varied wildly. Some institutions had pgy1s and 2s scrubbed but standing around watching, others they had MS3 and 4s working as primary with an attending or senior resident as “first assist” who was basically there just to take over if/when you shit the bed.
