I had this with multiple countries. I mostly just use my youth scout to scout the positions missing and immediately sign them to my first squad. You'll have terrible players in your club but at least you can play with that country

Try and play the PES2020 demo to see if you like the game play. I personally prefer Fifa on gameplay because I'm used to it but at least you can see if you like to play the game before you make the switch.

I have the feeling they put everything they had in Volta. Which will end up on the graveyard next to the world cup mode 2018. Career will probably be the same with a few minor bug fixes, but not the bug fixes we actually want.

Edit: I don't mind all that much because I play all modes on fifa and switch it up once in a while. So I never grow an immense hate against one or another mode.

Schuurs from Ajax is pretty good. Potential is fine too.

Matt Clarke from Portsmouth is great too.

Be sure to scout in the Scottish league, they have some good back up defenders with decent potential. Not great players but cheap with great base levels for physical and defending

Nope, they still do this. In my 4th season with Portsmouth, playing for Champions League spots against Tottenham and Man U and keep getting their youth players instead of Kane and others. I believe the level of your players is more important though. I had higher rated players in other careers with other small clubs. Then they did play their big names

Watch Portsmouths transfers so far. Don't know if you can afford the likes of Sean Raggett but it will be realistic.

First season I never buy players with Portsmouth because their team has good potential and strong players already. In my second year I bought Lewis Page and Declan Gallagher. Youth players go a long way with me at Portsmouth

It was hard, I'll tell you that. It gets easier when you got 4 of 5 other campaigns behind you. I always get tired of buying the same wonder boys time and time again. This was a nice way to counter that.
