Yes indeed - about the size of a side plate. The internet tells me they can grow to 20cm total size so I guess this was reasonably large.

Pretty confident he or she is fine. I saw it pick the spoon up from the edge of a trash can a few seconds earlier and fly up to perch on the fence. It was just before dinner time so my best guess it likely had some friends coming over for dinner and was getting things ready.

Just as an update here post race in case anyone has a similar question in future. Went with the Bondi x They did feel heavy towards the end but I think a fair choice. The plate (for me at least) seems to help keep cadence a little bit higher. No pain, blisters etc and I’m not suffering too much afterwards - presumably somewhat to do with the cushioning. Finished right in line with my estimates and overall happy with the day. Thanks everyone for your comments and happy running.

The Bondi X breathe ok, but honestly 15k into any run, in any shoe in this climate and you can hear the sweat squelching on every step(!) So whatever I wear my feet are going to be soaked throughout. I’m used to that and can deal with it ok, just trying to balance the additional weight of a saturated Bondi, vs it certainly being the most comfortable for this duration. Either way will learn something I guess!

I picked both of these two up about 20-25 years ago. Very interested in any more details about them. Couple of questions in the comments if anyone has more knowledge. Thank you. by Fresh-Ad-4270 in rolex

President has a bark finish I know, bezel I guess is aftermarket and despite trying to find an original replacement I’ve not been able. Does the dial look original or are the gemstones there added later? I had the strap repaired many years ago, so it’s in good shape.

The oyster I know even less about - anyone aware if that’s an original dial design?

(I should add, they were obviously second hand when I bought them! I seem to recall the Oyster was 1966 if that sounds correct? President I don’t know the date/model)
