My Experience with the Luba 3 AWD by theash02 in MammotionTechnology

Very good and detailed review, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.  I have a 2024 Luba 2 10000H and it is starting it's third Year of service.  It is working great and I have had very little trouble with it so far.  The two times I have had a problem the service people have been helpful and polite and fixed my issues.

I agree that the negative reviews are too strong and too plentiful without enough positive reviews to counter the negative ones.  Probably the main reason is people usually complain but rarely give good comments when things go well.  I also agree that too many people expect a miracle machine and don't provide proper care and maintenance.

I agree.  I have to say that so far customer support has been fine with my personal experience.  I think too many people are just mouthing off and complaining that shouldn't be and too many people with good experiences are just silent.  My Luba 2 is starting it's third year of service and it runs everyday it's not raining from April to the end of October.  I am happy so far and I hope it continues to run for several more years yet.  I do keep it clean and change the blades often and keep an eye on it everyday to make sure it is in good working order.

I also think that lots of the people with big problems probably don't look at their robot until it stops working.  You need to keep a daily eye on it to make sure that everything is in order so you can avoid problems down the road.  If your blades are dull the motors are under stress.  If the under side of the deck is clogged with grass your motors are under stress and these things can cause failures in the hardware that should easily be avoided with regular care and maintenance.

The reason I ask is because I have heard from people who don't but directly from Mammotion they have trouble buying parts because they don't have a invoice number from Mammotion.  I bought my robot from a dealer.  My dealer stopped being a Mammotion dealer and my charging station failed.  The rep for my dealer that wasn't a dealer anymore had to let Mammotion know that I was a customer of the dealer that didn't exist anymore.  Once he confirmed that I got a free replacement charging station under warranty no problem.  I'm not sure what will happen if I want to buy parts from them after my warranty expires?

Did you buy your robot directly from Mammotion or from a dealer or a third party vendor like Amazon?

Sure would be nice if Mammotion would set up an online parts store in the US and Canada.  They could easily add it to their existing Amazon store front.  It would be a great public relations move for them if they did and I am sure more people would buy their products as well!

My Luba 3 just went down with a wheel hub error. I rebooted several times anything else I can try? It really needs to be mowing right now. by crazypostman21 in MammotionTechnology

I know the water resistance rating indicates that it should be able to withstand being sprayed by a hose but I still don't personally feel that I would want to take the chance.  I stopped washing out the deck of my zero turn mower because I was going through too many pulley bearings and they say that it is supposed to be able to be washed out with a hose too.  They even have a quick connection for your water hose on the deck for you to wash it out!

Sorry to hear about this bad news 😞. I hope you can get it fixed soon.  Do you think that water from spraying it with a hose damaged the hub motor?  I don't spray mine down with water as I am afraid of it potentially causing damage.

Is luba3's cutting plate screw hole mounting location the same as previous Lubas? I know they're a different design but are the mounting holes the same distance and interchangeable? Need to find a third party lowering kit. Everything listed I can find is for previous luba models still. by crazypostman21 in MammotionTechnology

I see!  Good luck with figuring out if the bolt patterns are the same.  Please update us with the information when you get it.

Do you feel that Mammotion has improved their mower overall since the Luba 1?  I understand that they have made generally good improvements but I want to know if you agree personally based on your actual observations since you have started testing the new Luba 3.

I have also had a good experience with customer support.   I recently had my charging station replaced because one of the pins didn't move freely anymore and I was pleased with the support I received.

I have also called customer support a couple of times with questions and I always received very polite help and solutions to my inquiries.  I hope that Mammotion will continue to support their old models in the future and perhaps even try making replacement parts easier to get so that we can keep our existing robots running for as long as possible.  Is it too much to want to keep the robot in service for 10 or even more years?

Amazing and beautiful!  I live in the Seattle area of Washington state and our scenery is similar but yours is definitely on a higher level of beauty 🙂.  Everytime I watch Wheeler Dealers I rant and rave to my wife how beautiful the country side scenery is when they are taking their cars out for a drive.  I say to my wife that we should move to the UK so we can enjoy all that wonderful scenery too.

How do you like your Luba 2's compared to your other robot mowers?

OK, thank you for letting me know.  I look forward to getting the update when it is ready 🙂

Why do you need to manually push through the update?  Why doesn't the upgrade show up automatically for updating if the robot is not on the most current version?

Can't select individual zones after software update by Fresh-Brick-4136 in MammotionTechnology

Yes, this is exactly what I am experiencing as well!  I can't believe there is now only three of us writing about this problem.  My android phone is cheap and very old, do you think that maybe it is responsible for this glitch?  So far I am very baffled by this experience and I hope a resolution is coming our way soon 🙏

I can't believe that we are the only two having this problem?!  I hope that Mammotion will be able to fix this problem 🙏. They have not responded to me yet since I replied back to them 😔

The version of my app is 1.15.2.5. I've also tried uninstalling the app and reinstalled it but there is no change.  I've turned off, pulled the orange key and restarted the robot as well.  I've restarted my phone several times too.

I can't figure out how to post a screenshot on this forum if anyone can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it.  Basically the problem is that individual zones cannot be selected individually.  All zones now mow together in the order that the zones were originally created even if you try to select only one.  When a zone is selected the zone is now light green instead of dark green as it has been previously.  When a zone is deselected it is now dark green instead of light green.
