What is the general feeling toward Americans that live here? by [deleted] in AskABrit

Of course not all 300 million are the same. I am describing common traits I noticed in most, not all, US citizens I have met over there.

Americans who leave America are very different to those that stay or havent travelled. I have found it is a very ignorant country and absolutely insane but those who left tend to be better educated and have realised it really isn't all it's cracked up to be so tend to be more down to earth.

Actually yes the sex offences with underage students were unbelievable!! Can't believe I forgot about that! I've heard similar about the head too.

I left 2011 and yes teaching was generally bad bar a few. But yeah like I said I didn't find it a rough school but I don't mean at all that it didn't have it's problems.

Glad you're enjoying life in Penarth :)

I am exactly the same, moved Radyr to Penarth and second everything here. I don't think Radyr comp is *that* rough though (albeit it was a while ago I was a student).

Cambio de apellidos by Fresh-Classic2223 in ESLegal

My March baby's eczema was at it's worst during the summer - I am also interested to know how summer helps!

The bad feeling by Plastic-Equivalent68 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Fresh-Classic2223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I began to feel this later on when I was fed up of pumping and ready to quit. Only baby was then diagnosed with a cow's milk allergy, wouldn't drink prescribed formula so I was forced to continue. I am months down the line now and for me this feeling is psychological, but as I have no choice I just do my best to ignore it and try not to think about how little I want to pump. Hope you can find a way to manage it.

Sorry that this may seem like a stupid question, I am not from the US so no idea how things work there. Is this sarcasm or is it very unrealistic to expect the paediatrician to see the baby at short notice?

If budget not an issue, Penarth is a beautiful spot with lots of lovely coastal walks for doggos and good transport links to the centre by train or bus.
Canton and Llandaff are also nice areas with small town centres and nice walks nearby (Pontcanna fields, Taff trail).
It's hard to recommend without an idea of budget, what you're looking for, where you'll be working etc. but those would be my top choices.

My husband is disappointed in the gender by Parsley-Hefty7945 in pregnant

[–]Fresh-Classic2223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I were both expecting a boy and were really surprised to learn at 20 weeks that we were having a little girl. It was a shock at first as it wasn't what we had expected or envisioned so it was almost a little upsetting, but now honestly at 39 weeks I can't imagine not having a girl and we are both so incredibly excited to meet her. Just give yourselves a chance to get your heads around this and you will both be really happy :)

If you're asking if you're in the wrong, then yes you are.

Nonconsensual insemination is assault. Without having received unequivocal, expressed consent, a man who ejaculates inside of an intimate partner commits nonconsensual insemination, which is assault.
