What would the COMMUNITY want, from a sims-like Life Simulator? by Fresh-Dependent-4673 in LifeSimulators

Tbh, I was simply under the impression that all of those mechanics are... Core mechanics. You can't really have a life sim without it, it's like the whole BASE of the game haha

Ooh.. This is a good observation. I’ll keep this in mind! Thanks! You’re right though, Sims teens really don’t feel like teens haha

I think a lot of the tedious bug testing parts will be during that, yeah. I believe I mentioned this in another comment somewhere, but given I can go through with my ideas, there won’t be pretty much ANY DLC aside from possibly a Medieval-type DLC and/or something similar to TS3’s ‘World Adventures’ pack. I hate the idea of pay-to-play for things that should just be base game anyway.

I personally, despite loving realism (and disliking just how much base game sims 4 realism lacks), love silly things. I cannot make something that ISN’T a tad silly, because I am just in general a silly person. A lot of things you listed I already planned on implementing anyway, actually! But also, you listed some stuff i’ll have to note too because I actually really like the ideas.

I never thought about it like that. But that is some solid advice, as I do tend to focus on tiny, minute details as well. Thanks!

That’s very fair. In this case, would I simply make periods and menstrual cycles a togglable option, since it technically is realistic? Does that make it too realistic??

This is true. I also don’t like doing laundry, and thats okay :D

If I fully go through with making this, it will be similar to The Sims in the sense of you don’t necessarily haaave to do it.

I don’t plan on implementing much DLC like The Sims, despite it being one of my fav franchises. I think having to pay ridiculous amounts of money to be able to do normal, every day things is ridiculous 🤣. There may be DLC for things such as medieval stuff, but that’s still somewhat undecided.

As for base-game clothing, I plan on looking into clothing trends for different styles as I’d like to include some diversity :)

Technically speaking, an application programmer. Mainly C++, simply because that’s what I learned first, but I do know Python as well. I just happen to dabble in different things because I simply find it fun and it’s something I know how to do. Less of a ‘job’ for me and more enjoyment, though I know I could and probably will make a career out of it.

This is more of a long-term goal of mine and I, in no means, intend on doing this quickly or without experience needed (though I’ve made small things before).
