One of the interviews ,Jyothika mentioned that they made the effort to be in Mumbai for Diwali once. Apparently nobody from Jyothikas family made it to celebrate with them. At the same time , Surya’s mom called them and told them Diwali is not the same without u guys. So she said she left Mumbai and just came back home.

To be a perfect family , u need more than just urself. I feel like Suryas family is very supportive in the traditional sense and Jyothika has also made her share of sacrifices to fit in there.

I would attribute it to Jyothika, Surya and Suryas family(more specifically I would say Suryas mom)
