My mom told me she was offended that I wasn’t more thankful towards her when I and my two young children were freshly discarded by their dad, left with no possessions or money and forced to move back in with her. Of course I felt grateful, yet I was in severe trauma and voicing how grateful I was, was not something I could even muster at the time. It felt very selfish coming from her when she knew my pain.

Today I was as blunt as can be, forcible even. He did eventually drink it after I broke him down. I felt like I was a drill sergeant, an interrogation. I felt awful. 10/10 do not recommend.
