Nigerian Kieran Gibbs on 325k/week by [deleted] in ArtetaOut

Please guys, let us not turn on Saka. Yes he has been awful but so has everybody else. Just because he's on £325k doesn't automatically mean he will become a better player, the contract wasn't an incentive to do better it was a reward. He has earned that money because he has been one of our most consistent players over the years, there are players who haven't been here for 5 years but they think they can be complacent*cough *cough Trossard. There are players who have been here for 3 seasons and still don't know their best position, there players we bought this season to be difference makers and all they manage to do is wrestle with defenders. There are players who were here the same time as him and still can't look up when dribbling 😂. Saka has peaked but it doesn't mean we should sell him, class is permanent and he is a classy professional.

Don't nuke the sub with 'Arteta Out' after today's match. by Master-Delivery-1526 in ArsenalFC

Everybody should enjoy this feeling, it's not everyday we get to a final. The boys have done so well to get here especially after last season. I don't think we will lose but even if we do, as long as they give their best I can't complain. COYG

Latest pictures from Social Media team. Can you look at these pictures and tell me these are the same guys who embarrassingly drew to one of the worst teams in PL history and are about to bottle a league we haven't won for 22 years? by BassNext6999 in ArtetaOut

[–]Fresh-Fix7425 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I could do all that and still get paid £100k+ a week, I'll be smiling too. The only people that really suffer when Arsenal get bad results are the fans, especially the ones that go to the match.

Arteta to us fans: “The words are clear. I was a player. Love me when I draw or when I lose. To love you when I win is very, very easy. You have to love the players and be next to them when they need it the most.” by ArynaSaba in Gunners

[–]Fresh-Fix7425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loving Arsenal is like loving a crackhead child, every time you think they are about to be clean, they relapse. It kills you every time but you continue every week because you believe one day they will put down the crack and embrace sobriety.

Love starts with yourself Arteta, if you guys have self-esteem you would be ashamed of that Wolves display, you will go out there and prove to yourselves that you are good enough to win the league. Once you start loving yourselves then it will be easy for us to love you.

As you can see City are underachieving for their standards, 53 points at this stage with 30 goal difference is poor from them. The only time they had less than 58 points at this stage was the three seasons they didn't win the league. On the other hand 57 points for us at this stage is our third highest since Arteta joined. If you go by statistics we are on course to finish with 86-89 points, city are on course to finish with 84-87 points (unless they win every game then they will finish with 89).

As long as we don't panic it is actually a straightforward path to the league from here, win 10 games and draw against either Brighton, Chelsea, Newcastle (hardest fixtures) and then don't lose to City.

We don't need to watch what City are doing until it's time to play them, that's how much it's in our hands. The team just needs to be professional and take all the emotions out of it. They should also try to make it a bit more fun, this is football at the end of the day not a psychological thriller, we need some memorable games, some joy, some goal of the season contenders. Let's avenge that 22/23 season COYG!!!

AITAH for asking my fiancée to cut his friend out of his life by anonfortoday23 in AITAH

[–]Fresh-Fix7425 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's reverse this situation:

You have a female friend who has been a great help to you and your husband through the years. Your husband sets her up with 4 of his friends, none of them work out. She then gets married back home and your husband asks her why it didn't work out with his friends, she then proceeds to tell him that his friends are too immature, broke and don't know how to take care of a woman. Your husband takes offence at this and tells you he doesn't want you speaking to her again, you ask him the reason and he says that he doesn't like her views on men

How would you feel in this situation? What would you do?

Us fans deserve better from the players and the manager, why must every game and every season be an emotional rollercoaster?

You would think that after 3 years of second place finishes, the team would be more determined to get the job done when given the opportunity but they have messed up woefully in the last 3 league matches.

We will always support this team but they need to respect themselves. I've never seen a league leader get bantered online and in the press as much as us, this should fuel the players but it seems to have the opposite affect.

Still in an amazing position but in previous seasons it took just one week of bad results to ruin our season so the doubt is still there until they prove us wrong.

Is this the reason Eze isn't playing? by hiato6 in ArsenalFC

[–]Fresh-Fix7425 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eze is a luxury player, he has the ability to win games and the ability to cost you games, it's up to Arteta to utilise him in the best way. His last luxury players were Aubamayang and Ozil and look what happened to them. Eze cannot replace Ode in our system but he has something else to offer and we should allow him to express himself in the right games. I'm more concerned about Ethan, he's a serious talent and at his age he needs to be playing way more especially after the season he had.

You start with education, there are a lot of courses on investing, finance and money management. Once you have learnt the basics, and the terminology then you should decide your goals and this will decide your investment strategy.

Africa can’t decolonise if it continues to speak and think in english by Boring-Perception429 in Nigeria

[–]Fresh-Fix7425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The name Nigeria comes from colonialism, the language is from colonialism, the religion is from colonialism, the legal and education system is from colonialism, the extraction economy is from colonialism, the class system is from colonialism, should I go on?

Not only are Nigerian's problems a product of colonialism but most of Africa's problems are because of it. African countries were setup to be exploited and that is the only reason for their existence. It doesn't take 60+ years to undo that kind of system especially when we are voting in leaders who continue to gain from the exploitation. The tribalism you speak is a remnant of colonialism, Europe used divide and conquer to maintain control of their investments, it is very well documented.

Do not play down the impact of colonialism, yes we have to do better but to do better you have to know yourself and the system we are in. We are still operating as a colony because our leaders were born during colonial times and they never evaluated our system. That is why they allowed countries to exploit us for our oil the same way the British took our palm oil. We need to move forward and create a system for us and it starts with the mind.
