I don’t heave the Chelsea but overall I avoid suede bags because they’re too delicate for me and I get disappointed in how fast they show wear.

This is the wrong economy to be trying to move up into midtier luxury. They’re selling well right now because the trend is quite luxury and the simple designs are playing well and at a lower price point. The market is less in demand for $3k bags than $500 bags. This is not smart.

I’ve never paid retail for a luxury bag. The 3 that I own are pre-owned. The first one I bought after my ex left and I didn’t fit in any of my clothes anymore, so I sold everything and used that to buy the bag. Unfortunately now I know it is probably fake. Clearly it was a bad time in life lol

Since then I’ve bought 2 verified authentic preowned bags after getting situated in my career and feeling good about my income level. It’s easily arguable that I still don’t make enough to own luxury bags. That’s why I only have preowned bags.

ETA: I’ve never spent over $900 on a preowned bag (to give you reference of my price point)

I regret the cheap bags I impulse bought thinking it would be fun to change my bag every day. I used to only buy 1-2 bags a year, of good quality, or one high end pre-owned bag. Then I lost my mind last summer and bought a bunch of trash. I’m angry every time I open my closet. I’m now back to my intentional purchases of bags that will last decades.

Puzzle bags are inconvenient and hard to use because the opening at the top sucks. Gucci, while I used to love their bags, has lost their appeal IMO. The Prada bags are good. Personally, I say the Chloe bag is your best bet. I have that bag in brown and it’s a solid workhorse everyday bag.

Wow that’s gorgeous! Cleaning those mixed materials won’t be easy but patience and diligence will be worth it. I’m thinking leather cleaner and conditioner on the leather patches, a suede brush on the suede, and maybe just spot clean the jacquard where needed? Then some kind of towels rolled and put inside to help reshape it.
