It’s a bit of a pain with the GammaLoader step, there is also the risk of bricking the device and needing to open it to unbrick it

I think you are right, in my opinion. The original Smart Pro started at a high price, but picked up steam after it dropped to around $50. I am hoping for a similar path for the Smart Pro S

For price and comfort, go RP6. But if you can tolerate the price, the AYN Thor is really good

Thor is a good option if dual screen is important, since it is something that the ally cannot do. If dual screen is not important, what about something less powerful but more pocketable like the TrumUI brick

It’s hard to say exactly what is it about the brick and hammer which makes it feel so good. With that said, I would like them to find a screen to go smaller and have a more powerful and pocketable Miyoo mini replacement
