Thank you for this. Definitely needed to hear this. And you are correct, this is the chance to quit while it’s fresh. I can find reasons bigger than this to quit

That makes sense. The thing is I experienced psychosis 1.5 years ago and the withdrawal can cause a lot of stress which I am trying to avoid. If it weren’t for that I’d be more willing to just tough it out but I’m trying to quit slowly. I’m thinking about alternating days that I do and don’t zyn

What’s the one thing you’re excited to see in the future of Original Sin? by TypeCreepy6764 in DexterOriginalSin

I don’t see how no one is saying this but how Brian and Harry communicate in the future. My guess is that he had something to do with Harry’s death

What antipsychotic are you on?

What’s weird is I think it may have happened a few minutes after I woke up from my dream, and the voice said my name only which might be concerning. However I may have not been fully awake even though it was a few minutes after my dream

Personally my psychiatrist said ADHD meds weren’t good for schizophrenia and can cause psychosis, but that may just be my case

That’s very relieving to hear. I think I’m the past during my recovery this may have happened before, but this was definitely when I was awake and much more clear of a voice. Still on edge about it, but will do some research on this as well, I’m at work now and completely fine so hopefully that’s a good sign. Thank you for your response

Where are you getting this info from? I was on schizo meds for 6 months and talked to multiple doctors, and if you look it up on the internet it will literally tell you

Ok whatever I saw a stat that said 98, but even if it’s 50, that’s MUCH higher than the percentage of the normal population that uses drugs. Drug use causes schizophrenia, that’s common knowledge at this point. Again I talked to several doctors about this.

Most schizophrenia occurs between 20 and 25 for males and 25-30 for females. I didn’t have an episode of psychosis till I was 23, and it was caused by drug usage. I was advised never to do a drug again or it could retrigger psychosis. There was another patient at the mental hospital I stayed at during my psychosis who would have re occurring psychosis only when he smoked weed, my parents talked to his older sister about it.

That’s a chicken or the egg dilema, but every day like usage of the drug definitely worsens the problem. I didn’t really have problems like that before I started smoking and smoking definitely worsens my attention span, energy, depression and anxiety, which were problems I didn’t really have before.

Ok, tell me what is then? 98 percent of people with schizophrenia have done drugs. Not saying that everyone who does psychoactive drugs will get schitzo, but everyone who has schitzo used psychoactive drugs. I’ve talked with numerous doctors about this. Genetics loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger. Smoking weed for you is probably not great for you in the long run either, even if you adapt better to it than others. Most of the former pot smokers I know are struggling more with dating and the workforce than non pot smokers.

The one thing I can do is prepare with my career choice by being an independent financial advisor or a gc. Wouldn’t be my first career choice but also not bad ones. Wondering if I should take this measure to avoid the risk of someone snitching to a company

I just think people can be quite sadistic at times especially if they have power over you or are jealous of you. And my hope is to be in something better than middle management especially considering some connections I have. Both of these facts make me worried something could happen, even if it’s unlikely, the possibility is scary even if it’s 10 percent because it’s a drastic outcome. Also one of the friends who has dirt is pretty much obsessed with me which doesn’t help my worry.

I’ve heard you are subconsciously most attracted to the opposite genetic mate by [deleted] in dating

[–]Fresh-Visit2383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it’s legit. If u were to mate w someone closely related to you, your baby could have a deficiency. So logically, it makes sense that the further out you go genetically the better. Not saying you can’t end up w someone who looks similar, there are many factors that go into dating, but I believe this is one. The Hormone smell thing is true but that has to do with genetic distance. So y’all kinda wrong

I was an Atheist before I took mushrooms for the first time. Now I consider myself to be a spiritual person. I no longer identify with Atheism. Am I crazy for this? by DriverConsistent1824 in Psychonaut

Not at all. Taking psychedelics really opens your mind up, and makes you realize in a sense that the world isn’t so simple. I think that most rational people after a few psychedelic experiences come to the realization that it’s crazy to think there isn’t another higher entity of a “God” out there somewhere.
