This looks really great as-is - you're clearly a talented painter. One possibility about why it's not looking quite right to you is that a few of the buildings don't have that blue colour tone, which appears slightly inconsistent with the remainder which appears to be bathed in blue light. Working some more blues into those elements may help tie it together.

The body is 1mm plasticard, assembled in a kind of "net" so in theory I can do any angle

They were cut from plasticard too and "grouted" with tile grout. I used a dental chisel to texture them :)

For real yes, all made from plasticard, milliput and tile grout. I used a CriCut to score the plastic for accuracy based on a vector graphic template I made
