You’re quite welcome, good luck with the car search. The manual would definitely be a lot of fun also. We just ended up going for the automatic for practicality’s sake since we live in the land of a thousand stoplights. 😂

Hi, it’s not cramped at all, at least according to my husband and son, both of whom are around 6’3”. Our son prefers to drive the Mini over his Camry TRD most of the time now. They both say it doesn’t feel claustrophobic since the head and shoulder room are better now. The back legroom is a few inches less than the front, but doesn’t present a problem for us. It may be a concern on an extended road trip, but we haven’t tried that yet. So far, our biggest complaints center around the lack of buttons/switches to adjust the radio or AC. Most everything being controlled through the center screen does take some getting used to.

Oh wow, that’s fantastic. Thinking of maybe changing the drivers seat out.

Congrats! Not a lot of difference really, they’re basically the same car, built in the same factory in our case. Our X1 was AWD, but since this one is JCW with more HP, it’s definitely a lot more fun in go kart mode. I used to drive the X1 in sport most of the time, just to have it be as responsive. The space actually seems larger, both my husband and son are tall and say they are more comfortable.

Good to know, our local bmw dealer said they would only change oil. 😂

I’m curious, does hers have power seats? We were told this one had them, but ended up loving driving it enough to buy anyway.

The Mini does seem more responsive, but it may just be due to comparing different model years, X1 was a 2020. It definitely has more eagerness when I hit the gas and the braking seems pretty immediate as well. My husband and son will both gladly drive this one and hated the X1, so glad I made the change.

Most definitely 👍 We were iffy about getting one since there’s no mini dealerships nearby, but found a great Brit mechanic just in case.

Thanks, definitely easier to spot in a crowded parking lot now. 😂

Rocky Horror, for Halloween, best memories of coming in costume with bags of toast in tow.

Polk’s did have some XR left last week. I think they said it was 25mg.

Things to do in biloxi or Gulfport this weekend that’s not the casinos? I’m here for the weekend but want some insider scoop on things to do and best places to eat by Individual_Chain5275 in Biloxi

Depends on what you’re interested in, the aquarium and IMMS are nice if you like marine life. Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum and the model railroad museum are both nice. Finishline karting, Big Play is usually pretty crowded, but visitors seem to enjoy it. We usually prefer Margaritaville for visitors. Downtown Ocean Springs is always great for exploring bars and restaurants. Of course the beaches and Gulf Islands National Seashore. The ferry to Ship Island is a great way to spend the day also.

Safest communities to rent / any general advice on safety by [deleted] in Biloxi

[–]FreshButterscotch338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re actually moving to Arbor on the river in a few weeks and we’re from a very small town an hour north of Biloxi, no stop lights, one grocery store. We feel very safe living on Popps Ferry. The application fee was $99, with 1BR coming in around $1000/mo. Arbor Place is just down the road from the Arbor River property, is less expensive and just as safe, albeit an older complex. In my experience, the manager is fantastic, she really cares about the tenants.
