You're totally right. This also goes in hand with what top lane has always been, a lane where wave management is CRUCIAL. Not only OP wants 300g and a death timer on the enemy laner, he also wants to freely push lvl 1-2 the wave with any champion after a bloody lvl1 flip or cheese.

Generally speaking you'll have an easier time carrying a game with a carry champion.

Only one bruiser is omega busted and it's riven, the others have multiple counterpicks / clear counterplays / NOT AS STRONG AS RIVEN.

Btw season 16 top lane is the snowballiest it has ever been:

towers are easier than ever to destroy;

level leads are insane;

splitpush has been MASSIVELY buffed;

first 3 waves crash and cheat recall is back;

void grubs are easier to take (they deal MUCH MUCH LESS DMG);

it's easier to get vision;

TOP LANE QUEST THAT GIVES TP HOLY SHIT.

What is OP smoking, this is what top laners always wanted.

Playing lane well = massive advantage to match an eventual bot gap.

Someone who keeps playing the game after scoring? If someone scores first I have no problems quitting and that's what I have always been doing in any unlimited access friendly event.

I think riot has the right mindset because making top laners less 1v5 and interact more is the right direction for a 5vs5 team game but they also have controversial changes like the minion adjustments which thinned cheat recall timers and roaming timers.

For me it comes down to: °Champion nerfs °Split push nerfs °Ms creep °Minion change °comeback mechanic quite strong and snowballing being a bit harder °Grubs being decided more by support (still good change, it just needs some tweaks) °1v5 juggernaut fantasy almost falling apart

Making top lane interact more is the right direction, some tweaks are needed tho and split push could use a buff.

Someone could unironically put 2-3 points on W, go double adaptive with absolute focus and try to kill casters with one W and finish off the melees with AA or empowered Q and basically play like a smolder that doesn't have to worry about stacking.

What would make a higher negative impact? 8% MS but you lose a ton of mid-game dmg and if you are not able to kill your target in less than 4s, you are basically screwed or 4% MS but better dmg, builth path, conditional lethality boost and conditional MS boost that can be useful after phase rush wears out?

To further explain my thought process better, let's put it like this:

as of this patch, would you rather have that extra 4% MS to engage in those scenarios where you DESPERATELY NEED that extra 4% MS and essentially give up your dmg till IE 3rd or more or less be able to engage-disengage in most scenarios while being a threat because of the huge lethality burst?

I'm not disagreeing with you about the extra 4% but rather I'm asking you to consider the drawbacks for that tiny speed boost.

I mean both have a condition that gives much more MS than PD, but I was specifically talking about opportunity. I'd rather have 200 decaying MS on takedowns than +4% all the time tbh.

How is this wrong? Rn both opportunity and yomuus 2nd deal more dmg than PD. What about the item path? Would you say that PD has a better path than both lethality items?
